Following on from a superb performance against Beeston on 3rd March the Ladies 1 were back in action at Stockport Road last Saturday, 10th March, and showed great composure and confidence to rack up a third win from six since the Xmas / New Year break. With Co-captain Vicky Lomas away on important family duties the girls certainly did her proud bringing home the 3 points !

A 3-0 win,3 points and a clean sheet keeps the blues in 7th place and mathematically we should now avoid the play offs (9th placed team in the table) as even if Wakefield could perform a Harry Houdini escape they goal difference is significantly worse than the blues. Sefton and Wakefield have tough run ins with games verses Brooklands and Beeston and then they play each other on the last day of the season. We know each club will fight to the end and Fylde will be making sure they secure as many points as possible too to keep above the Play Off 9th place.

This is fantastic progress from our first season in the Conference North and due to continued hard work on and off the pitch by the squad, Savs, Ian and support from Albert and Nigel.

With two games to go the Ladies 1's can now play with confidence and consolidate the progress made - this weeks its a trip to Sutton Coldfield and then on Saturday the season finale at home v Loughborough Student with a 2.00pm push back for please come down to support the final game if you can.
