Congratulations to Ben on his selection for the England Hockey Pennine Puma's U17 squad

Congratulation to Ben Jones on his selection to the Pennine Puma's Under 17 Squad following his participation at the England Hockey Performance Centre over the last nine months.

Futures Cup is annual national England Hockey tournament, run to mirror international competition, between the England Regions and teams from Scotland and Wales. Each of the four regions selects a squad of 16 from the Single System new Performance Centres - so it is a fantastic achievement for Ben especially as thee Puma's catchment region has been extended this year to include the Nottingham Performance Centre as well as Manchester, Leeds, Durham and Fylde. The England Age Group Squads (NAGS U16 and 18) are selected at Futures Cup.

We're sure Ben will enjoy and learn from the experience and come back raring to go for the Men's 1's. See what's in store for Ben in Flashback to #Future2016 - and victory for the Under 16 Puma's - with a sneaky little goal from another Timperley Ben !

Ben is one of our #homegrown players and joined up 10 years ago and this is the third year that the club has been represented by #homegrown players at Futures Cup. In 2015 Ben Jones and Ben Nicholson were selected for Puma's, and Ben Nich went on to be selected for England Under 16. In 2016, Ben Entwisle played for Puma's and was also selected from England Under 16.

We wish Ben Jones all the best for this years Futures Cup.

The nominations process is now underway for the England Hockey Single System starting with JDC from September. Players already in the system should be receiving invites over the next week or so. We will also be nominating other players from the club for their age group JDC.
