All four sports are in action this weekend, the bar is back open, new parking arrangements and helping us keep Covid Safe!

The weather is looking good for our bar re-opening weekend and with all #FourSports playing at the Club over the weekend its going to be a busy one! We've 6 home hockey games on Saturday, Academy and Under 11/12's Boys at home Sunday and we're hosting the North Over 60's Masters training session - plus lacrosse, football and two cricket matches !

With so much on and some many being able to enjoy sport as well as the new Govt Guidance post 12th April here's some important reminders and information for all hockey folks:

- Full weekend of sport with Hickey, Cricket, Football and Lacrosse - so cross over times will be busy and we need your help, patience and support grass and ATP's. Away Hockey players please do not come to club before your away game unless you have to - do come back after your game!
- two home cricket matches from 12noon on Saturday (2's and 3's) so time to be aware of the risk of cricket balls around the site
- the Bar re-opens on Friday 17:00 to 21:00 (don't forget Chilli for a Fiver until 19:00)
- Saturday Outdoor Table Bar Service 09:00 to 21:00 (with Bar Menu til 16:30)
- Sunday Outside Bar Service 09:00 - 14:00
- Sticks, bats and balls down for all sports / games for a two minutes silence for Duke of Edinburgh at 15:00 on Saturday
- 300 Club Draw at 18:00 Saturday - buy your entry (£4) from the Bar Staff or via PayPal by 17:30

Its fantastic that so many members can use the Club this weekend but we do need your help to make this a great weekend by:

- following the updated Social Distancing Procedure when on site and the 'rules' we have to apply to run the Outdoor Table Service Bar Area

- help us reduce congestion on site at the peak change over times by reducing the cars on site - please walk or cycle to the Club if possible, or get dropped off near by or park off site (being considerate of our neighbours).

- PARKING / Back Drive. Top Car Park (Wood Lane) to be used by all four Cricket teams from late morning to allow the drive along Green ATP to be closed to vehicles and pedestrians from approx. 12.15 til 19:30 (or finish). Back Pitch Cricket starts at 13:00 and this will be only exception to gain access to top car park.

- Pedestrians around the ground (both cricket outfields and drive alongside Green APT) are reminded not to walk behind the wicket whilst an over is in progress (behind the bowlers arm), but to wait and move swiftly when the over ends.

- visitors to the site and players (cricket, lacrosse and hockey) are reminded of, and to understand and accept the risk of flying cricket balls. All players / teams to be made aware of the protocols and action needed if cricket balls potentially go over the fencing of either pitch. Teams / subs to locate on golf course side of ATP's

- Cricket players on both pitches will shout 'HEADS' if it appears possible that a ball could be about to enter an occupied ATP pitch. ATP players must immediately cover their head with their arms to protect themselves. So listen out for the shout of heads - dont look up just cover your head !(umpires will stop games)

- remember to hands - face (face covering needed to use loos) - space when on site and follow the Rules for using the bar (6 people or two households stay seated for service)

- sadly, still no changing rooms and no spectators as we are not a public park, only exemption is for safeguarding reasons. Hockey Gate Marshals will be advise and sign in those with U18 / carer responsibilities.

- be kind to each other, polite and lets work together to make this work - respect our covid marshals, volunteers, captains and staff who are all trying to keep the club safe and open in line with covid restrictions

Reminder of our approach to implementing the wide range of Government and National Governing Body (NGB) COVID 19 restrictions, rules and guidance at TSC is based on the following principles:

• SAFE CLUB - creating and maintaining a safe environment for all (members, employees and visitors) at Timperley Sports Club on and off the field of play
• SAFE SPORT – creating and maintaining safe playing and training environments for our four sports
• TEAM EFFORT – working together to put in place the deliver a Safe Club and Safe Sport - members; volunteers; sections committees; employees and the Board – to delivery on
• SELF RESPONSIBILITY – every member, employee and visitor, and if under 18s parents and guardian, must take personal responsibility for their own social distancing and support the Club to comply with local and national requirements

Thanks in advance for your support and lets enjoy the weekend
