Coming up before Christmas we have:

10th December
- Indoor Regionals: Under 18 Boys (Away at Bradford)
- Indoor Regionals: Ladies 1 (Away)

17th December
- Tier 1 Cup: Under 18 Boys v Bradford (Away)

Congratulations to the Mixed XI who cruised past Macclesfield 5 - 1 to reach the next round - but with northern teams we and far between it maybe time to prepare for some serious travel

The Ladies Over 45's fell to the curve of Chester once again going down 2-1 to end their dream of going to Lee Valley with the O45's. Disappointing all round and the team were certainly denied by the posts including from a flick and even the cross bar. Chester concerted a penalty corner late into the game in a well worked move to snatch the win in the dying minutes of the game. Support (and players) now shift to the Over 35's campaign that gets under way this Sunday.

Good News also for the Men's Over 50's who have now been put into Tier 3 after the recent defeat against Formby and now win the pleasure of a local derby with Bowdon !

The Under 14 and 16's will have their cancelled round robin games rearranged from 19th November and have games coming up in the new year as well.

The Under 18 Girls lost to Alderley Edge in the first round of Tier 1 so now play Lancaster on 4th February at home.

Indoor

This season we've entered an Under 18 Girls team in the regional indoor tournament and thank Sarah Chancellor for driving this forward and coaching the squad. Plus the Boys U18 will be back in action hoping to repeat last seasons excellent achievement of reaching the Indoor National Finals. The Ladies 1's are also upbeat this season and hoping to qualify for the next tier of indoor hockey for 2018.

Indoor is still new to us as a club (certainly in the modern era!) and we are extremely grateful to former club member John Jordan who having watched the Boys U18 National finals last year with the Wood Clan kindly made a further donation to help support the development of junior hockey. Part of John's donation has been invested into coaching for the U18 at MGS and in to acquiring indoor sticks so that all players can benefit from the right indoor equipment. We wish all our indoor teams all the best of their tournaments and for keeping the Timperley name on the map ! We also thank John for his generosity of spirit and contribution to helping us continue to develop our Under 18 and academy programmes.
