GM Marathon Road Closures around the Club - Sunday 2nd April
Don't forget the ASICS GM Marathon goes right past the club! Check for road closures & changes to Academy Training Times
The ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon comes to Timperley and right outside the Club on Stockport Road along Sunday 2nd April.
So please be aware that there are parking restrictions around Timperley Village and near the club from 18.00 on Saturday until 18.00 on Sunday 2nd July. Stockport Road will also be closed outside and near to the Club. from around 8.15am to 1.30pm on Sunday - so check out the road closures, diversions and route information using the links below.
If you are planning to come to the Club on Sunday before 2pm please come on foot, bike or park away from the Marathon course and walk using the WOOD LANE ENTRANCE. Please allow extra time to get to the Club on Sunday.
There will be a change to ACADEMY TRAINING TIMES on for Sunday 2nd April for one week only to:
- Cubs 9.00am - 10.00am
- all other ages 9.00am - 10.30am
Academy training on a Sunday will return to normal on Sunday 9th APril starting at 11.00am
Be aware that there is a water station for the Marathon at our Stockport Road entrance so please do not try to access the Club from Stockport Road if at all possible. The Club is very proud to support the Marathon and we hope all members and visitors live with a little inconvenience for such a great event on our doorstep. Runners will hit our water station as they come past the 11 mile and having done a loop round Alty back past the Club again at 13.5 miles mark. The Lacrosse section will be volunteering and as ever doing a great job.
