Forget the snow, frozen pitches and cold - sign up to play some hockey on summer evenings at Timperley Hockey Club, Stockport Road, Timperley, WA15 7LU !

We would love you to join us for some great hockey in the warmth of the long anticipated Summer evenings! The first two weeks we'll play a round robin and then split teams into two leagues to give teams competitive but social hockey with teams of a similar standard.

Enter as a club team, a mates / friends team, uni or social team - each team needs a captain and lead contact but any group of hockey players are welcome to enter.

The formula will be the same as previous seasons, competitive and sociable, with the usual welcoming Timperley atmosphere with two astro's on site, bar and clubhouse opening throughout the summer league season !

**** Ladies Summer League is almost full with 18 teams already registered and have been invited to pay their teams entry fees ASAP - once first date has passed any spare places will be released to other teams. ****

o Dates: Starts Tuesday 15th May (Ladies ****) and Wednesday 16th May (Men's) for ten weeks with all teams playing in finals night to round of the summer league season on 17th and 18th July
o Timing: First games start at 7pm and matches run through to 9.30pm / 9.45pm depending on final numbers
o Format: 7-aside, two leagues to ensure challenge for different playing levels
o Pitches: Use of 2 astro pitches, marked out as four half pitches
o Matches: 15 minutes one way
o Number of team: 14-16 teams per competition
o Cost: £35 per team, per night (first payment due by 30th April - non refundable to book a place. No charge for finals night)

Each team needs to bring an umpire - ideal opportunity for un-assessed umpires to gain some experience, hold hands to coach or help newer umpires or for teams to buddy up and umpire each others games if using player umpires.

Last year we had to run a waiting list for the women's league due to so much interest so don't delay book a team in today !
