All involved with THC (playing, coaching, non playing) are asked to take a little time to get familiar with our key Codes

As a Club, we've always had arrangements in place to deal with discipline and conduct issues both on and off the pitch. Timperley Sports Club also has in place expectations and a disciplinary process. These are rarely required to be used and we'd like to keep it that way !

To make it clear for everyone we all the details of our Codes and Policies can be found in the 'Information' area of the website including THC Codes and a number of more specific codes based on the England Hockey Best Practice
http://www.timperleyhockeyclub.com/a/codes-and-policies-35090.html?page=2

Two important codes that all players should be aware of are:

- THC Code of Conduct - setting out at a high level expectations for all involved in hockey at Timperley

- THC Disciplinary Code - that covers on and off hockey related behaviour and conduct

We also have the main codes for the Academy set out in the 2018-19 Academy Handbook (attached)

For on pitch conduct and behaviour it's really important that all players and officials (coaches and managers or anyone who receives a card) are aware that all cases where a Red Card is issued or, when a player has accumulated three yellow cards (in a season) will require review by the THC Disciplinary Committee and the person will need to attend a meeting. This is in additional to any league reporting requirement or attendance at league disciplinary hearings.

Captains are responsible for recording and reporting on pitch disciplinary matters and cards and reporting details to Rob Judd, THC Secretary.

Players, Officials and all those involved with hockey at Timperley need to read both Codes and if you have any queries discuss initially with your team captain, club captain or one of the committee. Or email timperleyhc@gmail.com

We also have a a Pitch Side Conduct Code for match days too.

All our Codes follow best practice standards across our sport and provide a consistent and fair way to manage a range of conduct related matters. In additional we've provided details of the Timperley Sports Club Rules so members can be clear on the wider Club's expectations and disciplinary process.

Umpires need to have copies of the Matchday Misconduct Offence (MMO) forms with them so that they can complete immediately after the match with the other umpire and ensure all forms are signed and returned as per the league rules.

We welcome the support of all involved in hockey at Timperley in upholding the spirit of hockey on and off the pitch and in creating a safe, welcoming and friendly environment for all.

We'll be continuing to review and update our policies and codes as part of the work on #GreatHockeyClub and to continue to have 'one approach' for all our main academy, men's and women's key processes and arrangements. Simplifying things and reducing duplication was one of the benefits of the merger of the sections.

Please take a few minutes to familiarise yourself with the codes and ethos we aim to uphold as a Club.
