Be part of THC history ! Support the girls as we host our first ever Investec Women's Hockey League match at Timperley - 2.30pm - Free Entry

Our on and off the pitch preparations are nearly complete and we're looking forward with great anticipation to hosting Ben Rhydding on Saturday 24th September, 2.30pm. Show your support for the Club and be a part of our history as we take this important step and get our name on the national league map for hockey !

It's free to come and open and open to anyone - so do encourage people inspired by Rio 2016 to come along and watch some live hockey! There will be programmes available to buy including entry into a post match draw for a bottle of fizz !

This is a proud moment in our 130th season and the preparation needed, both on and off the pitch, would not have been possible without the support and commitment of so many people involved with Timperley to make a difference and make stuff happen.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been involved in whatever large or small way - current and former hockey members, coaches, players, partners and the TSC staff team.

Special thanks to Women's Club Captain, Helen Cue for navigating thorough the IWHL Rules and Regulations and translating them back into all 'jobs' we've needed (or wanted) to do to present Timperley as a #GreatHockeyClub that hosts #GreatMatchDays for all players and teams visiting Stockport Road.

If you're coming to the match you can help our match day stewards - Chris Tasker, Carolyne Jones and Angela George to carry out all the pitch side elements of the day, including spectator standing areas and behaviour !

The Ladies 1 showed again that they never give up in last week's opening league match earning a 2 -2 draw away to Liverpool Sefton, scoring with 2 minutes to go. Sunday was EH Cup Round 1 and the girls went to Doncaster and came away 3-1 winners and have been rewarded with an away tie in Round 2 v. Bowdon Hightown !

If you can't make this week's game the Ladies 1's are at home next week, 1st October at 2.30pm v Wakefield - immediately after the Men's 1's first home game v Leeds.

Thanks also to our:

- Match Day Sponsor - Women's Club Captain, Helen Cue
- Ladies 1 shirt / team sponsor - Thermal Road Repairs
- and Barrington Sports who have kindly provided the match balls

Good luck to Mike, Danny and Saturday's squad - play well - play hard - and enjoy the match!
