Timperley Sports Club has a long track record of identifying opportunities and investing in improvements to our facilities - this continued this week as work got underway on phase 1 of a new project to replace and upgrade the 1st XI cricket square. Phase 2 will put in enhanced land drainage on the front and back pitches that should make a really big difference to our grass based sports.

We've had some good coverage in the local media and lots of social media tweeting and comments too - plus a £72,000 grant from Sport England to make it all possible.

Work will also hopefully be starting on a new score box / changing block for on the back cricket pitch before too long. This is all great for the club and to show that we are continually improving what we have which for a volunteer led community sports club is a great position to be in. Hockey's time will come in our next major initiative - Project 2018+ that will be shaping up over coming months as we look to the plans to replace the astro's when they reach the end of their lives in a couple of years.
