Players, parents, supporters - we need your ideas, knowledge, expertise to help shape the future development of the Club!

Work is really progressing at pace to develop the ideas and shape of what the next phase of our overall Timperley Sports Club development to look like - and we need to tap into members, parents, supporters for their ideas, knowledge and expertise to help us better understand the opportunities for the club and what we need to consider and factor into future plans.

See the latest TSC Development Update for more details on Project 18, recent survey results and working 'vision' and 'mission'

We're running two workshops (the same workshop so we can hopefully more people will have the opportunity to come along)

Thursday 24th August - 7.30pm - 9.00pm
Wednesday 30th August - 7.30pm - 9.00pm
In the function room

The aim is to work up the ideas and opportunities and demand for activities that we do now or could do in the future. We need to identify what the future demands and needs of the club and local community are going to be - and most importantly how the club can play in role, through both our facilities and what activities we provide , in meeting this demand. This will help shape how we want to develop our facilities, programmes and business case.

We'd really like to tap into the knowledge, awareness and understanding of :

- what our four sports will look like in the future (next 5+ years) - hockey for example is developing more informal ways to play, back to hockey, rush, hockey, walking hockey as we'll as more ways to get involved

- local community groups - their needs, what they do, is their a natural fit with the club, using facilties when the sections aren't ? Are you involved in any other groups to give us more insight into what their needs are

- health and well being of the local community. Whats going on now, or could be happening in the future to get more people activate in the local area, do you have knowledge of health issues and solutions your could share, or things like ways groups or health or other professionals maybe looking to help social isolation, loneliness , or wider issues that could be supported by local activities run from the club (similar to the informal groups that already use the club in the daytime)

- schools and education, what could the opportunities be to build on our current schools partnerships and working

- young and old people - what ways would the club facilities and activities support wider programmes in non core section time ?

- do you work in health, education, well being or sport and can you bring know how and expertise from your day job ?

- any other ideas about community facilities we could provide, working with local business, hosting services (like a Physio)

The Club's has a long track record of looking forward - and finding ways to expand what we do, make our selves more sustainable, and develop our facilities. This next phase of development will be no different - so lets look outside of what we do know and how broadening what we do can help the club grow, develop and fund investment in improved facilities.

So bring your ideas, knowledge and help us identify and work up some specific opportunities to explore further in the Autumn. This is a 'must do' part of the business and investment case for Project 18 so we want to get as many people's inputs as possible.

If you can't make it but have ideas to feed in or would like to get involved please contact Shelagh on 07810 854197 or email entwisle.everett@btinternet.com
