Come down to the club from 12noon and help get the astro's, ground and club ready for the winter season!

Join members from cricket, football, lacrosse and social sections as part of our TSC volunteer task force day to hit as many of the winter season maintenance jobs as we can !

The club is hosting cricket finals days on 10th September - so we need to work around this so we will be juggling work around the weather and cricket - the times for helping are.....

We're starting from 12noon - hitting the astro's and all jobs not on the grass ! Come down for the afternoon for a couple of hours.

Or

Come down from 3.30pm to help with the big ' top up' on the back grass pitch to help get the drainage channels in the best possible state before the contractors come back to do more pre winter work on the grass. Whats this got to do with hockey you may ask ? well without good grass pitches for winter sports (football and lax) we'd have even more demand for the astro's that would impact hockey.

The Ground Committee has drawn up a 'jobs' list for a whole load of things that need doing around the clubs grounds and the section Chair's has agreed to do a volunteer task force day to help get the jobs done - and with a good team down on the day make a real difference.

There will be a wide range of jobs to allocate out on the day depending on numbers, weather and what skills you may have ! From painting the kick boards around the astro, tidying up, cleaning areas, work on the ground and a whole lot more !

Hockey have fed into the list of jobs with a 101 things we thought that needed doing ! Dave Halkyard is also our hockey rep on the ground committee. The jobs will be organised centrally by Gary Fisher, Ground Chair. Our aim is to get through as much as we can in an afternoon.

Our small staff team are already cracking on with a lot of jobs and you'll see that Rob Pates has made real progress with replacing the kick boards behind the goals and we've also got some new bins on site too ! Lots more to do so come along and help make a difference !

So grab some old clothes and come down 12noon to 4.00pm on Sunday 10th September players, parents and partners welcome ! Ideally we'd like people to come for the full 4 hour shift but if you can only make a couple of hours that's fine ! All equipment will be provided but bring gardening or suitable gloves if you want to protect your hockey hands !

The Club will also be providing a few drink afterwards for all the volunteers.

If anyone has any suitable perennial plants suitable for the new containers in front of the decking and green fingers do bring them down too !

To help with planning the day please email timperleyhc@gmail.com if you can come down and if you've any particular skills you think may be useful - over and above the general jobs !
