Another week of Lockdown 3.0 and we've seen all weathers and hope everyone is keeping safe, well and Covid free. Catch up with this week's updates from THC

Remembering Tom
This week we marked the sad passing of Tom Einstein a member of the Club for over 60 years - former Men's Hockey Chair and TSC Honorary Life Member. Tom was a true gentleman and is remembered as always smiling. Remembering Tom and sharing a small selection of photos of his many exploits at the Club has triggered many memories - including our photo of the week from the late 1960's at Llandudno Easter Festival - more of this later ! Thank you to everyone who has shared memories of Tom and left message on The Timperley Hockey Facebook Page

Rolling back the years ....memories of THC
Digging out, and sharing, the photo's to remember Tom have sparked many memories. Directly for the players and friends who knew Tom and more indirectly about all things 'hockey of yesteryear' and how we could use Lockdown to help build on and capture our club history in photos, film (or moving pictures for youngsters!), artefacts, programmes and memories of festivals and tours remembering Llandudno, Scarborough, Weymouth, Blackpool and more. The eagle eyed will notice that the Mens are wearing the Timperley Blue and Black 'halves' shirts and we'd love to try and locate one of the old shirts to display.

The 2021/22 Season will be the Centenary of Women's Hockey at Stockport Rd when Timperley Ladies first came to the Club (after being somewhat nomadic since their first games in 1913. This is an ideal opportunity for us to bring together photos and memories of women's hockey at the Club too so what better time than in lockdown to have a dig through old photos and files and see what we can unearth! We'll also be trying to track down as many former ladies members as we can in the run up to the celebrations.

If you'd be interested in getting involved and helping please contact Shelagh Everett or any of the usual suspects and lets see if we can bring together and share our rich history

Academy Fees - chasers !
With no registration day and many parents helping the Club by paying the TSC element of annual fees (£65) over the summer we know the academy fee arrangements have been a bit complex this season. The great news is all bar a couple of players have paid their TSC Annual Sub (£65) but there are a number of player for whom we haven't yet received the Hockey Academy fee element -and we will be following up in the next week with reminders. Hockey will go on to well into May and potentially beyond so there will still be lots of hockey on at the Club - including more mini tournaments for younger players.

Any outstanding Academy Fees can be paid via Pitchero:

THC Academy Fees (Reception to Year 2) - £60
THC Academy Fees (Year 3 - 6) - £60
THC Academy / U16 fees (Year 7 to 11) - £70

Any queries contact Shelagh Everett or Anna Mawby.
