With points in the bag and an exciting run in to the end of the season we go again this week !

Quick weekly round up this week in a busy week at the club with lots going on including:

- a great one day Quick Sticks leaders course on Monday
- growing numbers at our Half Term Hockey Camp Monday to Wednesday keeping Jim McCall and Albert Marcano on their toes
- former players (aka Old Boys) lunch on Friday
- plus of course training for all teams !

We had some really good results last weekend too.

Thank you to everyone who came down to support the Ladies 1 v Liverpool Sefton, in one of the most anticipated games of the season. Training, focus, video sessions and team meetings fell into place as the girls took an early lead after two minutes and then conceded just before half time to make it 1-1 at Half Time. In a tense second half we won our only Penalty Corner of the game in the 60th minute and showed great composure to convert to win the game 2-1. We now leapfrog Sefton into 8th place in the league and head to Sutton Coalfield today ready to build on the progress made and having that winning feeling back in the blood. Congratulations to the girls on the result and to Mike, Danny and Albert for their work with the squad. Lets keep the believe and hard work and bag more points over the next few weeks.

The Men's 1's also got back to winning ways on Sunday with a really solid 3-2 win against Alderley Edge, after a tough games against Sheffield University Bankers on the Saturday. Denying Alderley of the points also ensured that Leeds Men 1's have romped away with the North Premier Division this season. With Leeds well ahead we remain in a pack of six teams with only three points between them.

There is still lots to play for Timperley teams over the remaining weeks of the league season.

Congratulations to our Men's 4's who are now 18 points clear in second place in Division 6 South of the NWHL with five games to play. Sitting one point behind top place Denbigh Mens 1's this seasoned group of players hope to get the a win when they play them at home on 11th March to top the league.

The Men's 2's continued on their charge fora promotion spot two with another win away at Deeside and are right in the mix at the top of Division 3 South as the top three fight it out with Alderley (40 pts) Deeside (38 pts) and Timperley (37 points). Keep the league wins coming lads! The long Sunday drive to Cockermouth sadly reap any rewards in the EH Plate as the the Men's 2's to Keswick.

Next week we'll be putting the spot light on our Badgers and Beavers teams and how the other senior teams.

Finally, we have another 'Hockey Sunday' this weekend and the chance to support our Over 50 Mens Masters team in a rare home appearance in the EH Trophy Quarter Final at 12.45pm followed by the Men's 2's v Brooklands rearranged game at 2.30pm.
