Hockey, Hockey and a bit more Hockey
With the snow and frost gone (hopefully for a good while) its back to normal this week with 19 matches over the weekend ! On Saturday (9th) we have a 1's double header home set of Fixtures with:
Men's 1 v Durham University 2's (12noon push back)
Ladies 1 v Sutton Coldfield (2.15pm push back)
Come down and support the 1st Teams and Janet Wood will also be running a cake stall to raise funds for the hockey section during the afternoon
On Sunday its back to EH Championships action as five teams are playing - please come and support the teams:
Road (or Plane) trip of the day goes to the Ladies 2 travelling to the Isle of Man to play Vikings HC ! Thanks to Vikings HC for all their support in organising (and paying for) our travel and we wish the girls all the best for the trip and hope its not too windy for the flight !

Ladies Over 35's v Didsbury Northern O35's in the Masters tier 2 (O35s') 12.45pm (Home)
Men's 1's v Leeds 1's in the Tier 1 last 16 2.30pm (home) a great opportunity to test ourselves against National League opposition and they are playing for a place in the Tier 1 national QF's v Bowdon !
Girls U14 v Brooklands Poynton 1.30pm (home)
Boys U14 v Bowdon 4.30pm (at Bowdon)
Let's get some wins on the board this week and get everyone in the mood for next Sunday's big EH Cup game with the Men's Over 50's play Formby Over 50's at home in the Quarter Final of the Tier 2 competition - a repeat of the 2017 Masters Final !
The snow hit league and EH Cup games are now nearly all rearranged so check with captains and manager to update availability. Men's league game are moved en bloc to the slip date Saturday 30th March. Ladies League Games for North and CWHL are moved to Saturday 23rd February - apart from the Ladies 3 who play Knutsford away midweek. Under 16 boys and girls EH games still being finalised/
Hockey Camps and Masterclasses
Regrettably we have had to cancel all our half term hockey programme except the Masterclasses on 18th and 19th February 2019. The split half term and lots of people being away has impacted bookings, fully refunds will be provided and re apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience.
The are a few places left on the Masterclasses with Akeem and Albert on 18th and 19th February (ages 10 - 18) but places must be booked in advance. See news items for details.
New Soca Fitness sessions coming to THC !
Here's something a bit different we're launching a new block of five Soca Fitness sessions - We Sweatin led by Akeem to add a bit of Caribbean magic ! Sessions start in a couple of week's on Thursdays 7.30pm - 8.30pm
20 places available - book in advance and full details will be shared later this week - one not to miss. Take a look at the Club Instragram to have a look at Akeem putting the Men's 1's through their paces the other week !

The 2019 Hockey Dinner will take place on Friday 26th April 2019 at the Club - last year's 007 themed event was a complete sell out and tickets for the 2019 will gone on sale shortly via the bar or on-line. Make sure you get your tickets at the early bird price and avoid missing out as when we're full - we're full ! There will be 125 tickets up for grabs .
We're finalising the theme for the evening so let us know your ideas via captains or direct to Shelagh or the Cuey or Kieran, along with any ideas for the evening.

Nisha is our Academy Co-ordinator and is down rain or shine doing all our Academy administration and registration on Sunday's and Tuesday's as well as representing the Academy on the Hockey Committee and we thanks her also for all her work for the hockey section.
