Weekly Update - Early Birds, Kit, Camps, Tournaments and Thanks to Woody !

This week's photo is one of the Timps teams at the Ladies Vets 7's and should be appearing in the Hockey Paper in the next edition ! The day also raised a whooping £965 for the section and huge thanks to Jo Nicholson our chief organiser.

Its a busy busy time for hockey at Timperley with something for everyone - here's a quick heads up on what's happening, dates for your diary, kit orders, subs, and plans for pre-season.

Spread the cost of your subs - act fast sign up for our Early Bird Option by Sunday 30th June to pay in four installments!
For Senior (all categories aged 18+) players you can sign up to pay your monthly from July to October. Follow the link for more details and how to sign up.
Many memebrs have been tagged to Pitchero 'payment' products to make it easier to sign up - alternatively you can pay your subs in full at any time up (up to the end of September) either online or over the bar. Don't forget everyone needs to complete a new TSC Ltd membership form. (Academy Registration will pick up subs for Under 16's and will be held on Sunday 8th September 2019)

Pre-season kit order deadline Sunday 7th July - for delivery on 8th September
Check out the Club Shop for online orders of Express Delivery items (3-5 days) including shirts and for he made to order bespoke kit items. Order online.
If ordering a shirt please mail timperleyhc@gmail.com so a number can be allocated (to avoid duplication). SilverFX will be at the club on Academy Registration Day 8th September. Kit order dates are now set monthly - see website.
We have a stock of blue socks and these don;#'t need to be ordered via SilverFX.

Countdown to the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
Follow the Men's 1's on all the usual social media channels on Saturday 6th July for their fund-raising 24 mile hike for the British Heart Foundation and in memory of Kwasi Emmanuel.

....and now for some hockey !

We've an EH Summer Championships Sunday in the sun coming up so why not get along and support the teams - this Sunday 30th June:
- Ladies Over 30's v Brooklands Poynton Old Poyntonians (away at Brooky) 12.15pm push back
- Men's Over 30's v Urmston (home) 2.30pm
Both sides had big wins in the first round scoring 17 goals between them so hopefully another #goalfest this Sunday !

Double header tournament weekend - 6th and 7th July 2019
Next Saturday (6th July) we're hosting our next fund-raiser tournament for aimed at Men's teams / players in the NWHL lower division's - let Alex Morley and Kieran Jeffery know if you can help out or play or umpire.
On Sunday (7th July) its our mixed 7's and tehre are still places for players to join the Timperley teams - let Kieran know if you can play, help or umpire. Ladies - please reply Pitchero availability or let Jo Robinson know asap !

Huge thanks to Jo Nicholson who again ran a superb Ladies Vets 7's Tournament in early June and raised £965 for the section a brilliant effort and thanks to everyone who helped Jo, especially Leonnie and Janet Wood for again running a bumper cake stall.
Summer league is going really well and the Ladies League is due to finish on Tuesday 9th July and Men's on Wednesday 17th July.
Hockey Camp bookings for August are open
Don't delay let Caroline Small know asap if you'd like to book a place on either camp - 5th to 7th August or 27th to 29th August.Members and non members welcome.

Pre-season training - starts on Tuesday 30th July for all teams
More details to follow next week on timings and plans for pre-season and friendlies.
The Performance Squads are upping their pre-season now with 2km time trails and fitness so keep an eye out around the club and local area for players putting in the hard yards !
League hockey for all senior teams (apart from 1st teams) starts on Saturday 21st September and weekend of 28th September for the National League.

More club news .....
At this weeks hockey committee meeting we reviewed our budget for 2019-20 and agreed the key areas of income and expenditure - coaching, affiliations (league/associations), match days (teas/travel etc) remain the key cost areas. We cover about 40% of our overall costs from match fees and need to raise the rest of the income so tournaments and fund-raising remain as important as ever for the season ahead.
We have agreed to continue to hold the cost of match fees at £10/£5 for senior games and £3 for academy games - this makes the budget very tight but we felt we should hold match fees for the 5th year and continue to raise other income through fund-raising initiatives.

We'll also be sharing some of the exciting news from the Timperley Sports Club AGM over the next few weeks as part of the wider Club Communications on the launch of Project 18.
