Eyes down for this weeks hockey with another bumper days hockey on Saturday with seven home games, the Beavers playing their home game down the road at Loreto and the bonus of a Janet Wood cake stall to provide those post match treats and something to keep the spectators going too !

Big thanks also to this week's Match Day Sponsor - Jon Mawby and Autopoint Knutsford . We thank Jon for his contibuted support and for helping contribute to the section's fundraising by being a Match Day Sponsor. Match of the weekend is the Men's 1s v Wakefield at 12.30pm (home) in a 1st v 2nd clash at the top of he North Premier Division - come down to support the lads and see if the blues and rattle home another win and cut Wakefield's lead at the top of the Prem to 2 points. The shooting boots remain on fire as the 1's scoped another four goals last week away at Whitley Bay in a 4-4 draw. The Men's 2 have been scoring even more goals with a 9-0 win last week, remaining undefeated and hitting 40 league goals for the season and top of NWHL Division 2. The Ladies 4 took the goal scoring honours for the girls teams with a 7 - 0 win v Triton 2's.

The EH Championship's roll on and after a slow start the Men's Over 50's scored four goals in the second half to take the honours 4 -0 verses Wakefield in the Tier 2 Masters Championships and have earned a short trip to Alderley Edge in the next round. The Ladies 1 having played some excellent hockey and having retained excellent possession couldn't find the net against also against Wakefield and after 70 minutes to score remained 0-0. The match went to penalty strokes, and sadly it was not to be the Blues day.

This weekend the Women's Over 35's play their first EH match of the season away at Sale and there are away trips for the Under 18 and 14 girls to Flyde and Under 16 Girls to Neston. The only home EH tie of the weekend being the Under 14 Boys v Alderley at 13:00 on Sunday in the Tier 1 competition. Do come down and support the lads if you can and cast an eye on our #HomeGrown emerging talent.

Thanks again to all our umpires who are currently covering lots of hockey both on Saturdays and Sundays

If you're looking for hockey stocks, shoes, bags look out for the Black Friday online madness from the ever growing number of hockey stockists. Since their take over by a subsidiary of Sports Direct Barrington's are also doing regular weekly offers and clearance items. There are now clearance items available at the shop if you like a good rummage and the opportunity to try out demo sticks in the cage before you buy. Its also an ideal time to buy a facemask if you're involved in defending penalty corners to add to your own personal safety equipment.

Don't forget to check out the FIH Hockey Pro League tickets too if you're looking for gifts or tickets to the EH Super 6's Indoor Finals which is a great spectator sport if you've never seen indoor hockey played.

Don't forget to save the date for a few drinks at the club on Saturday 15th December as part of our #oneclubfoursports Christmas Extravaganza - lots for the kids, drinks for the adults, the return of the giant tombola and a bonus £250 on the night prize in the 200 Club. There's an added bonus for our coaches, volunteers and parents as there's no academy training on the Sunday as the final session will be 9th December.

That's all for this week - we've a busy week ahead with a #OneClub All Captains meeting on Monday evening, more work to refresh out policies for ClubMark re-accreditation and completing all membership data to provide to TSC, and complete our player profile and EH affiliation. We'll also be looking at the dates for all our 2019 Tournaments and Summer Leagues and the 2019 Hockey Dinner so everyone will get lots of early notice !

Finally, don't forget its the 200 Club Draw this Saturday between 6.00pm - 6.30pm, if you're not a member why not buy a number on the night or find out more about how this fundraiser works and how to sign up for £4 a month
