Find out when all the Hockey will be back in full swing and take a look at our 10 easy ideas for New Year THC resolutions !

We're in the final throws of 2017 and another eventful year at THC - look out for the Review of the Year that will be out next week !

For many of us there's been very little hockey in December so everyone should be raring to go as Tuesday Training starts again next week straight on the back of NYE celebrations on Tuesday 2nd January ! Do try and get down if you can - we've had excellent turnouts for most of the first half of the season so please keep coming along, or give it a go. Coaching is our biggest outlay so come along and benefit from what Albert, Savs, Jamie, Mark and Nigel have to offer up to get everyone back in peak condition for the match day hockey !

With lots of matches to be re-arranged due to the weather many teams will have a busy January - including some double header weekends with games on both days. Please make sure you help captains and coaches by updating your availability asap for via Pitchero, GoogleDocs for the Women or direct with captains. Matches start on Saturday 6th January with a full set of Cheshire League games for L3,L4 and L5 and rearranged games for some of the Men's teams including M2, M5 and M6.

We're also hosting the Traditional 'Boxing Day' Cheshire v Lancashire fixtures this Saturday 30th December with the Over 40's playing at 10.30am and the Over 50's at 12.05pm. Sadly no senior game as Lancashire could field a team. We need some help putting the goals and chairs away after the final game so if you're down to watch please take a couple of minutes to lend a hand and get the pitch cleared

Other hockey coming up includes:

  • Ladies 1 heading to Wolverhampton 6th / 7th January for the Jaffa Indoor Super 6s Division 2 (north) tournament and looking to hopefully qualify for the National Division 2 tournament later in January. More details next week.
  • Academy Parents v Kids games on 7th January to kick off the restart of Sunday morning
  • Under 16 Girls play Alderley Edge in EH Championships on 7th January at home
  • Under 18 Boys are off to Bradford for EH Cup games on 7th January - third time lucky after two cancellations !
