Good luck to the Under 10 Girls and Boys and Under 12 Boys who all head for a great day out at the University of Leeds of Sunday for the England Hockey North Regional Finals. Thanks to the parents managers and coaches for all their hard work with extra training sessions and for the parents, families and supporters making the trip across the Pennines on Sunday 15th April.

Lots of experience was gained last year when we also have three teams representing Timperley in the U10/12 North Finals. Its great to have our club name well and truly on the hockey map with progress in this competition and the experience gained will really help our young players develop. Four of the current Men's 1's all started the path to major hockey success through the North Finals experience and we are sure with 30 young players donning the #BlueandBlack that this will be great for their development too - win, lose or draw !

At the other end of the age range showing what a wonderfully inclusive sport hockey is we have the Men's Over 50's having a practice game against the North on Sunday as the prepare for their EH National Final down at the University of Birmingham on 28th April - do come along if you can. Plus we've four ladies making the trip up to Edinburgh to play for the North Women's O45, 50 and 55 verses Scotland - good luck to Jo Nicholson, Sarah Impey, Helen Cue and Shelagh Entwisle.

Club Task Force Day - Sunday 15th April 2018

Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to join the #OneClubFourSports task force on Sunday to get the club ship shape for the spring / summer. Hats off to: Dave Halkyard, Alex Morley, Pat Jones, Pat Marsden, Will Tobin, Connor Miller, Andrew Foster, Paul Keeler, Ruth Brown, Tracy Rimmington, Rachel Small, Vicky Lomas,Alice Williams, Alex Pepper, Amy Nicklin and Maya.

AGM Season begins !

The AGM season kicks off for us on:

- Thursday 26th April with the Timperley Sports Club AGM (7.15pm - 7.30pm)

As well as the chance to understand how our overall club operates and how its doing financially and across all sports (Both key to our long term future and sustainability) - this year there will also be an important Agenda Item updating on the Future of the Club

So come along to find out more about ......What will Timperley Sports Club look like in 5 years’ time? – come and join us for the AGM on the 26th April 2018 at 7.30pm to find out! The development (Project 18) is really important for all involved in hockey at TSC as it includes the replacement of the Astro's and Lighting as well as the clubhouse development and overall site. So come along and find out more.

The papers for the meeting have been sent out by TSC - and they will also be mailed to hockey members too to make sure no one misses out.

It's then the Hockey Section AGM on Sunday 13th May 4.30pm for 5.00pm following the end of season #OneClub mixed 7's tournament. Sign Up now if you'd like to play (1.30pm meet for a 2.00pm start)

We set up this internal mixed 7's tournament up when we merged a couple of seasons ago and its been a real hit with all involved. Its a great way to meet folks from across the section and we will be organising teams in advance to mix up players of all ages / from across all teams. Its been a real highlight to see 1st Team players along side the Vets, or 5th / 6th Team Players along with some of our budding academy players all in one team - proper #hockeyfamily stuff !

To make this tournament work we need names in advance to sort the teams so please sign up via the Doodle Poll if you can come along. Meet time 1.30pm to introduce teams, then we'll play through til about 4pm. The Tournament will be followed by some food and the 2018 Hockey AGM.

Sunday 13th May is also our end of season for the Academy with the Parents v Kids games and followed by the Presentations.
