Well a week chasing our tails to do pitch inspections, cancel game and now juggle rearranging six home league and five home cup games - plus all the away games ! Thanks to everyone involved in getting the decisions made, communicated and contacting the opposition and league / division secretary's.

Men's League games will be re-scheduled to the NWHL and North (Men) Slip date 30th March (unless agreed sooner by club), Ladies League games need re-arranging by 23rd February (CWHL) and North Women's Slip date 23rd March or sooner and dates being agreed and all the EH Cup games will go to Sunday 10th February the EH Slip date. Look out for messages from captains and make sure all players update availability asap.

The only game of the day weekend that survived the weather was the trip to the tropics of Leicestershire and top of the table Loughborough University for the Ladies 1's. A hard first game back against a squad that continues to improve and are on full steam ahead for the Premier Division play off place and top flight hockey next season. Ladies are at home v Sutton Coldfield on Saturday 9th February for the new push back time of 2.15pm and the Men's 1 are on at 12 so come down for the double header.

With milder weather and rain it looks like it will be business as usual this week for training and matches next weekend !

Stars in Your Eyes ....the 2019 winner is .....

On a light note we had our first hockey social of the year on Saturday 26th January with the return after a ten year break of Timperley does Stars in Your Eyes - our take on the karaoke based 1990's Saturday Night TV show ! Big thank you to our eight acts who delighted the crowd with an array of dance moves and a range of vocal expertise ! Thanks to everyone who supported the night and came along too as the audience is a big a factor as the acts. Based on feedback it feels like there is demand to run the event again in January 2020 and some of the acts are already planning their return !

Congratulations to Albert who not only made an excellent Bob Marley but whipped up the crowd with his own adaptation of One Love with One Club and of course the backing singers stole the moment too !
