Weekly Update - Still lots happening at THC !
League hockey may have finished for most but there's lots going on at the THC over the next few weeks - find out whats on & get down to the Club!
We've lots coming up over the next few weeks and certainly have something for everyone - who thought hockey was just a September to March sport ! So if you're missing playing, missing meeting up with hockey mates or just looking for a good reason to get out of 'jobs' and pop down to the club!
Members should have also have an email inviting them to 'have their say' on the future of Timperley Sports Club in an on line survey as Project18 the next major deployment project the TSC will undertake takes shape. What an April we've got lined up:
Friday 21st April - former players lunch (aka old boys) - contact Nick Burnett for details of these popular lunches held for many of our older current and former players / members
Saturday 22nd April 2pm Ladies 1's v West Herts in the IWHL Relegation Play Off - we must win to keep National League hockey at Stockport Rd - see the news item for all the permutations needed to pip Exec Ladies to retain Confernece League status. Please come down and support - lets make it our biggest crowd of the season. If you're away we'll be keeping social media up dated with all the news.

Saturday 29th April 2pm Men's Over 50's EH Trophy v Formby
Sunday 30th April 11am Ladies Over 35's EH Trophy v Harlston Magpies

North In2Hockey Mini's Finals - Leeds University, Weetwood site
Not to be outdone by the 'oldies' for the first time we have three teams at the North Finals a pose of supportive parents heading across the Pennines to support the Under 10 Boys and Girls teams and Under 12 Boys
We wish all our teams in action in these key games all the best and that they'll be even more trophies and rewards to bring back to the clubhouse !
We've also got the last two of the current block of fitness sessions with Rick Poole on Tuesday 18th and 25th April 7 - 8pm (£2).
May doesn't get any quieter either!
Saturday 6th May - Mens Tournament aimed at lower division teams in NWHL. If you'd like to play or help on the day contact Alex Morley asap.
Thursday 11th May 7.30pm - Timperley Sports Club AGM - all members welcome and this year's AGM will include an update on future development plans as they begin to shape up. Let's get a good turnout from hockey.
Sunday 14th May - #OneClub End of Season hockey, awards and AGM
This year we're holding our end of season social hockey and presentations for the Academy and Senior Hockey on the same day. We quick off with:
- Academy Parents v Kids games from 11.00am followed by a highlight in the year - the Academy Presentations and awards from 12.30pm
- From 2pm its our second inter club mixed 7's tournament, an opportunity for some social hockey and the chance to meet more people from across the club
- Followed by our senior presentations and AGM
- We'll also be electing new committee members and filling a range of roles so look out for details over the coming week or so of ways to get involved in making stuff happen at THC
Tuesday 16th May - Men's Summer League Start's - 7 a side, games for all teams each week. If you can help out on summer league evenings with timing, keeping score and collecting fees please contact Pat Jones asap.
Wednesday 17th May - Ladies Summer League starts - we've already got 16 teams ready to go! Jackie Lord needs help on the night so let her know if you can help with making sure things run on the night !
30th, 31st May and 1st June - Holiday Hockey Camp - following the success of last weeks camp when we had 40 players down per day we're running our next hockey camp in the Whit Half Term. Booking and payment details will be available soon
Back to Hockey will also be back in May so help spread the word - we're just trying to firm up a pitch slot !
There's also more planned for June, July and August with the Ladies Vets Tournament (10th June), the Timperley Hockey Club Summer Ball on 24th June (theme to be announced soon), the return of the mixed tournament (date tbc early July) and pre season only just round the corner !
