Three North Finalists, one #GreatEscape and one more planned - the hockey rolls ! Be at Brooklands to support the L1 & last call for Dinner Tickets!

We promised action and drama last weekend and we certainly got it !

- our Under 10 and 12's Boys and Girls did us proud as a club at the Cheshire Mini's, with the Under 10 Girls crowned Cheshire Champions and the Boys Under 10 and 12 Runner's Up in their competitions. Training, hard work and a real love and joy for playing hockey from these young players paid off as three of our four teams are not off to the England Hockey In2Hockey Regional Finals in Leeds on 30th April. Congratulations to all involved and all the support from parents, managers and coaches who make it possible for so many youngsters to play hockey

- the maths conundrum in NWHL Division 3 (South) was cracked as the Men's 3's put on a fine performnce against Brooklands 4's to win 6 - 4 in a thrilling match to avoid the drop to Division 4 . A lively home crowd saw great team effort to bounce back in an end to end game. The gods were on our side as the temperature warmed up just enough of Albert to get into his stride with a four goal haul - if this is what happens with the temperatures above 10 degrees lets hope for sunshine at the Vets finals ! Congratulations to everyone involved with the 3's - is not be an easy season - but you pulled off the #TheGreatEscape !

- a precious point was picked up for the Ladies 1's in a significantly improved and hard fought performance against the University of Durham who are in third place in IWHL. Once settled after conceding and early goal, te girls played some of their best hockey of the season and after equalizing to make it 1 -1. Despite being the better team in the second half the girls were unable to convert a number of opportunities and had to settle for the point. With IWHL Conference North going to the wire at the top and bottom of the table we're set for a nerve wracking Saturday afternoon as are relgation rivals Liverpool Sefton and Belper play each other and we head to Brooklands for our final game and preparing to see if THC can pull off #TheGreatEscape2 this weekend.

We'll be doing our BlueNotes Special End of Season Review with all the news after the Vets Finals ready for the AGM on Sunday 14th May with all the final standing and league news. The Men's teams, despite injuries and availability challenges, have had a good season with the Men's 4s promoted and no teams being relegated. All the Ladies terms in Cheshire and the 2's in North Div 2 all retained their places in current divisions. Well done to all teams.

This Sunday we have our Annual Mens Vets Tournament and thanks to Colin Taylor for again organising this popular event in our annual calendar. Why not pop down and see the vets in action. Thanks also got to Mark Appleyard and Roots who have sponsored this Sundays Tournament.

Invites to gain sign ups for our 7 a side Summer Leagues (Men on Tuesday and Women on a Wednesday) are going out - contact Patrick Jones and Jackie Lord for more information. If you have hockey players from your work - or other hockey mates why not enter your own team !

DINNER DANCE

Final call for Dinner Dance tickets - please buy yours from the Bar or website - help make it another special #OneClub social and celebrate the season and our special #hockeyfamily. Tickets must be purchased at 5pm on Monday 27th March.

Be the Blue Difference at Brooklands

Finally, we really do need as many club members, family and friends to don their club branded clothing and make the short trip to Brooklands to really get behind the Ladies 1s. The final games of teh season couldn't be more tense - Brooklands slipped up last week against Beeston and need to win to retain top spot in the league and a place in teh Premier Division Promotion Play Off's. We need to gain a point or more to control part of out destiny at the other end of the table. It literally could go any way from staying up, going to the play off's or automatic relegation ! Who says hockey isn't exciting !

A big THC Crowd will make a huge difference in a huge game so please plan your weekend if you can to fit in 70 minutes at Brooklands to support the Ladies 1's.
