Take a look at what's coming up as pre-season preparations continue with training, fitness, kit orders and more !

This week we turn to preparations for the new season from fitness to fund-raising - kit to camps !

The full Pre-season training schedule is set out below for anyone whose not see it - there are also copies on the noticeboard in the clubhouse. Club training for all players (stick and ball / pitch sessions) starts on Tuesday 17th July 2018 (7.00pm - 8.30pm). General fitness sessions with Rick Poole will start in late July.

This weekend the Performance Men's and Women's squads start their full pitch based pre-season sessions with Albert and Savs 10.00am - 12noon are we start on the road to an exciting and ambitious season with promotion restructured across the various National and Regional leagues to accommodate the changes to the National League from 2019-20. So a big season for the club, squads and all the players - but success will only come with hard work, focus and commitment from now til the final whistle so lets get on it !

Get your THC kit ready for September - order now !

Here's a great opportunity to spread the cost of the start of the season and get your THC be-spoke kit ordered by 9th July 2018 ready for delivery for 2nd September. Ordering early means you're all up and ready to go for the season and miss the mad peak season for kit orders in September / October when virtually ever club in the country is placing kit orders to manufacturers.

So go on line and take a look at the range (with some new items) and place orders on line by 9th July. SilverFX will be at the club on 2nd September to deliver orders and to take orders for delivery in late October. Kit is made to order and be-spoke to THC so it is all manufactured in batches linked to the order dates so don't miss out order now. If you want to check anything out on items call SilverFX to discuss.

Club Ties, Bobble Hats and Socks - we have in sock held at the club and you can order online too and pick up from the club - or email timperleyhc@gmail.com http://www.timperleyhockeyclub.com/payments

Looking for Summer holiday activities ?

Hockey Camps are back with two lined up for August on 1st - 3rd August and 28th - 30th August led by Albert Marcano. See news items and fliers for more details and how to book.

Social Events 2018 - 19

Work in underway to get dates sorted for all our main formal and informal social events and gatherings for the new season so that everyone can get dates in the dairy !

New for this year - picking up on the recent survey feedback we'll have a mix of events and 'socials' and teams will be challenged to run and event / social to get more people involved. So the aim is we pair the men's and women's team up and two teams then organise a social each - get get your thinking caps on for ideas for your teams contribution to this years socials

Sponsorship, advertising and donations

Fund-raising will have a new twist this season are we not only need to raise funds to support the delivery of hockey (as subs and match fees only cover part of the costs of delivering all the hockey we offer).

We've a new flier being produced to promote the full range of sponsorship and advertising options we will be sharing soon - with new options ranging from £50 - so if you work for or know of any businesses who you can ask to support THC and hockey at the club help us with an introduction - we'll provide all the information you need.

This season we will also be kicking off more specific fund-raising to go towards the overall club development as part of Project 18. Upgrading the floodlighting on the Blue Pitch and other improvements is likely to be an early phase of work that we hope to kick off in 2018-19. This will need additional fund-raising from hockey specifically to help fund as part of the wider club development plans. So exciting times ahead. Workshops start in July to scope more details of Project 18 and thanks to everyone from hockey who has volunteered to get involved.

Thanks also to everyone who bought bonus balls in 2018 at the club - the funds raised have funded buying the huge new 65 inch telly now in the bar ! Don't forget all the World Cup Football matches are being shown, there are bar offers and an ideal way to watch as England progress ! ....and it will be great for watching the World Cup hockey on later in the Summer !

That's all for this week - don't forget its the Mixed 7's Tournament at the Club on Sunday and we also have the Hockey Shop from One Sports Warehouse down for the day selling discounted sticks, shoes and hockey equipment - so pop down to take a look and see the hockey.
