It’s with heavy heart we have to inform club members of Kwasi’s passing. Join us at 6.30 this evening at the club to remember him.

It is with the most heartfelt sadness that we have learnt that Kwasi Emmanuel has passed away in Trinidad the weekend, shortly before setting off for an international hockey tournament. In his short time at the Timperley Kwasi became loved by all he had contact with not just in the hockey section but wider club and was highly respected for his major contribution to the Men’s 1s squad 2017-18 season on and off the pitch.

Kwasi, who celebrated his 21st Birthday with us during his stay, has been lost so young - for those who got to know Kwasi well think of his beautiful smile and the warmth he brought to us all. We will share more details when confirmed, but we understand Kwasi suffered and seizure.

We will be gathering at the club for a moment of reflection and celebration of Kwasi’s life this evening at 6.30pm in front of the goal he so proudly defended. Bring flowers and what ever you wish to remember this wonderful young man who so enjoyed his time with us. Join us to be strong as a hockey family.

Kwasi had a bright future ahead of him as a hockey talent as Trinidad and Tabago’s Goalkeeper and will be missed by so many across the wider hockey community.

Our thoughts are with Kwasi’s parents Roger and Delisa, who have been in contact with us to thank you to everyone at the club who made his start with us such a memorable one, his brothers Kristian and Kieran, and all those from the Trinidad and Tobago Hockey Family including Albert’s sons Teague and Tariq who played with Kwasi in the national side.

RIP Kwasi #25Emmanuel from all at Timperley. X
