Women's Summer Lge - Finals Night Order of Play - 12th July 2017

2 weeks ago By Shelagh Entwisle

Over 200 games of hockey, 150+ players & umpires a week and a great #hockeyfamily atmosphere & we're ready for Finals Night!

As our Summer Hockey league draws to a close ( “boohoo”)we're delighted to announce the scores on the doors for Women's Finals Night on Wednesday 12th July 2017. Wednesday promises the height of competition….for those of you so inclined, and for others the usual evening of Summer fun.

Games will start at 7.30pm this week, with both pitches in use, and will finish in the bar at 9pm with hot dogs (on us!) and trophy presentations.

Everyone will have three matches each as a final play-off (match schedule to be posted shortly). Top 4 in each division to play each other and bottom 4 in each division to play each other.

Teams are asked to confirm how many (approx.) team members will be joining us for a hot dog (including how many vegetarian sausages we need to provide). The hot dogs are on us as a small thank you to players and umpires who've made it a great summer league and a real #hockeyfamily affair ! Please contact Jackie Lord with numbers for your team.

We have estimated up to 10 hot dogs per team (inc. umpire) When you register on the night you will be given a team token for that number but please confirm numbers to reduce the potential wastage or worse not having enough !

See attached table positions for Division 1 and 2

Match schedules for finals night 12th July to be posted shortly

Finally, no cricket this week…..so no warning to watch out for balls !

Thanks again to all teams, players and umpires for supporting the summer league and providing a fantastic nine weeks of hockey.

Sign up for next year on Wednesday as we'll be limiting the 2018 league to 16 teams again so don't miss out !

All the Best

Jackie
