With the night’s drawing in and the new hockey season upon us it’s time to get ready to hit the turf once again for our bumper hockey training programme all ages and abilities! The senior Performance Squads have been training hard over the summer and now it’s time for everyone else to dust off their sticks and kit and get down to the Club !

We've a few changes this season as we continue to grow and add to the programme and we've some new coaches to introduce too! If you're looking for a new club or looking to get back into hockey, get in touch and drop us an email at timperleyhc@gmail.com or pop down to one of the sessions to have a look at what's on offer and talk to one of the team to find out more ! We've 12 senior sessions and 8 Junior Sessions and over 15 pitch hours per week ! Plus, of all our weekend matches and tournaments for our 14 senior teams (including our new Men's 8's (Development Team) and over 18 junior teams too !

2022-23 Training Programme - key times / sessions from 4th September 2022.

To help plan sessions and player:coach ratio's please update your availability for training sessions in September [i]that will be loaded onto Pitchero shortly. This makes a massive difference to helping everyone get the most out of training and to helps coaches plan the session / time / pitch use.

Junior Coaching - from Reception to year 7 (aged 5 to 11) - SUNDAYS
- Come down and register on Sunday 4th September from 10am
- Training (pitch time) 11.00am to 12.30pm (12 noon for cubs)
- Ross Small and Helen Weston are back as our brilliant Lead Coaches along with our brilliant group of volunteer coaches and helpers

Junior Coaching - Under 14 and U16 Boys and Girls (year 8 to 11) - MONDAYS
- New time New Day for out EH Talent Centre Accredited coaching programme
- Come down and register on Monday 5th September from 4.45pm
- Training (pitch time) 5.15pm to 6.45pm
- New faces include Helen Weston and Zoe Sinclair (the new Head Coach for the Girls (EH) Timperley Talent Academy) more details to follow on the full coaching team.

Senior Team Coaching Sessions - TUESDAYS

Session's starting at 7.00pm (ie be on pitch ready to go kitted up!)
- Men's 3 / 4 and U18 (not in 1/2's) 7.00pm to 8.15pm with Mark Worsley and Ross Small
- Ladies 3 & 4's and 5 & 6's (two groups) 7.00pm to 8.15pm with new coach Mat Gotts and an additional coach tbc (if interested in coaching please get in touch asap)
- Senior Team Goalkeepers (rota to be confirmed for club and performance keepers) - 7.00pm to 8.00pm
- Ladies 1's 7.00pm to 8.30pm with new Lead Coach Albert Marcano

Session's starting from 8.15pm or 8.30pm (ie be on pitch ready to go kitted up!)
- Men's 1's 8.15pm to 10.00pm with new Lead Coach Rob Turner
- Ladies 2's 8.15pm to 10.00pm with new Lead Coach Mat Gotts
- Men's 2's 8.30pm to 10.00pm with new lead Coach Albert Marcano
- Men's 5 - 8's (excl U18's) 8.15pm to 9.45pm with Lead Coach Mark Worsley

Senior Team Coaching Sessions - THURSDAYS

Session's starting at 8.00pm (ie be on pitch ready to go kitted up!)
- Men's 1's (+invited players) 8.00pm to 10.00pm
- Ladies 1 / 2s ( + invited players) 8.00pm to 10.00pm (Alternate weeks with M2)
- Men's 2s ( + invited players) 8.00pm to 10.00pm (Alternate weeks with L1/2)

Pre-season friendlies start for senior teams from Saturday 3rd September
Please make sure you update your Pitchero availability to help our two club captains - Timur Asar (Men) and Jo Robinson (Women) and the Junior Team Managers sort selection and send invites for games.

We will also be hosting the new (EH) Timperley Talent Academy (TA) on Mondays from September from 7.00pm to 9.00pm that will bring players from across the North West to the Club as part of the new EH Talent System. Open Trials will be taking place at the Club on 4th, 5th,11th, 12th, 19th and 26th September lead by our Lead TA Coaches Rob Turner (boys) and Zoe Sinclair (Girls). To avoid confusion we've renamed our Timperley Under 18 activity Timperley Hockey Juniors (from Timperley Academy).

More details will follow about Junior Registration (for Sundays and Monday's) and plans for the season including the Pat Marsden Challenge Cup v Bowdon on 10th September for all senior teams and the Badger and Beaver teams.
