We encourage all Academy parents to engage in this years campaign and access the excellent resources

It's National Child Protection in Sport Unit’s (CPSU’s) Parents in Sport Week this week - and here at Timperley we of course want it to be Parents in Sport Week every week as we continue to strive to create the best and most welcoming and inclusive environment for sport for all. Parents are very much part of our #hockeyfamily and we have fantastic support from our 'band of parents and families' on and off the pitch and this plays a major part in creating and maintaining a special atmosphere for the whole family to come and engage in our sport and the wider club.

In this year's annual campaign CPSU aim to show how parents how they can help to keep children safe within sport. The campaign is running from Monday 4th October to Sunday 10th October - take a look at the campaign here https://thecpsu.org.uk/upcoming-events/2021-10-04-parents-in-sport-week/

For this year’s campaign, the CPSU are aiming to show parents of those who have children in sport how they can be involved in the wider picture of safeguarding in their sport. Take a look at the excellent resources and we encourage all parents and volunteers to take a little time out to go through the video and the short e-learning course:

· A 3-minute-long animation.

· A 10-15 minute long free e-learning course

We're also delighted to announce that Sarah Wilkins has taken over as our Club Child Welfare Officer - see poster on noticeboard / website for contact details for Sarah via the Academy or timperleyhc@gmail.com

England Hockey also has Reporting Procedures, which parents can use to contact us if they have a concern or if they want advice.

Let's keep Timperley a special place for our young players to thrive and grown as people through sport and we thanks all our parents for their role in making this possible
