Weekly Update - all the news, updates and what coming up at THC!

Catch up with this weeks news and what's coming up over the next few weeks all things hockey as we head into the Half Term period !

Come down and support the Ladies 1s at this weekend's National League home match on Saturday 16th October 4pm push back v Leeds. Let's get behind the girls as they look to march on and to make it four wins on the bounce and retain top spot in Conference North before their trip to Durham Uni next weekend.

The Men's 1's make the scenic trip to Belper on Sunday for what is usually a very tight affair with Belper sitting top and the Blues third and will be looking to bounce back after the late 3-2 loss to Didsbury last Sunday.

Next weekend - 23rd / 24th October !
North West Area Hockey has a break next weekend so no league matches for the M2-7's and L2-6's - and no Badgers and Beavers hockey on Saturday either. Based on recent challenges on availability this will be a welcome relief to our captains (REMINDER everyone please update your availability on Pitchero - seniors and academy!)

But don't worry there is plenty of hockey opportunities for those not away !

Saturday
- 12.30pm push back Ladies 2 v Formby in the EH Championship T2 Round 1
- Senior teams social hockey (subject t demand!) from 2.30pm to 4.30pm
format will be worked out based on numbers. Please update Pitchero if you would like to play (fixture will be added shortly)

Sunday
- Academy will run 11am to 12.3pm
- 2pm Mens 1's v Doncaster in their next home National League match

Enjoy the weekend off if you're not playing and update availability as we have a busy weekend coming up 30th / 31st October with a full league programme for all senior teams including Saturday Night Hockey at 6pm with Men's 1 v Durham Uni 2's and a six EH Championships matches on the Sunday with Masters (O45s and O50s) and U14 and U16 boys and girls.

Former Members / Players Reunion and match day special
Big thanks to Nick Burnett, TSC President, who is orgainsing one of our former player / members gatherings on Sunday 21st November for a social get together and Sunday Lunch following by the opportunity to watch the Men's 1 v Beeston 2's in their final National League game before the mid season break. This is a great opportunity for old and new membes to meet up and if any former players are interested (and not on Nick's mailing list) contact nick@theburnetts.co.uk

Can you help us identify new club sponsors and supporters ? Do you have, work for or know a business that may be interested ? Sponsors, donors and supporters are vital to what we do at the Club to bring in the funds needed to run the hockey programme - without this support we only have two main options available to us - increasing match fees / player fees or more fundraising.

Our main sponsors Coolair, Juniper, Kitchens of Altrincham and Myerson - annual support makes a huge contribution to what we do and this year we have further support from the Con Club, Eighteen Hockey and some other sponsors in the pipeline for pitch side banners.

Half Term Coaching
We're a bit late off the mark but will hopefully be offering small group coaching sessions and 121's w/c 25th October for academy player in the daytime to book on - details to follow shortly.

Timperley Sports Club News !
If you've not had chance to have a look yet have a read of the latest Bluesletter including an important updates about bar operations (and why we've not been able to serve Cask Beers) and bar price increases from 22nd October.

Its the 300 Club Monthly Draw on Saturday 16th October at 6.30pm with Mr Burnett ready to dish out the cash prizes for those in the Draw ! Buy your entry via Paypal or from the bar - follow up for details !
