Freak weather stops top of the table clash with Macclesfield Ladies 3rd XI getting under way !

The girls weren't even phased by the thunder and lightening during the warm up proving yet again that 'focus' is all !

Mikey Marsh and Mike Innes continued to rack their brains for what the FIH or EH rule was on lightening and worried if Cheshire WHL had further rules in place for such event !

Meanwhile the skies darkened as the girls got ready for an all mighty rain shower - that within seconds turned to hail like you've never seen ! The men's 1st XI on the blue pitch were already making for the clubhouse to take cover !

Within minutes both pitches were completely covered in 2 - 3 cm of hail reminiscing a winter scene ! Mikey and Mike now looking into more rules and umpiring guidance ! After much hope for as freak a downpour to clear the pitches or a sudden heat wave the match was abandoned under rule 6.5 of the Cheshire Women's Hockey League !
