Wet wet wet

Another good performance from Timperley Beavers saw them win against local rivals Bowden. Timperley, coached by rookie Coach Adam, started brightly and a very well worked first goal calmed nerves and set up a half where Timps moved the ball well through the channels. Rory proved an ever present threat in front of goal and good midfield distribution by Anna meant that Timps forwards were receiving plenty of ball to cause trouble in the Bowden D. Special mention goes to Katie C who is beginning to make the right wing her own and narrowly missed scoring later in the match. Fergus demonstrated that he is comfortable in any position on the pitch and use pace to help Ollie in defence when Bowden made rare breakaways into the Timps D. Ella also played a fine captains role starting in attack and then moving put in a strong shift in defence. During the break we talked about a quick passing game, which also requires quick decision making - looking to pass the ball rather than carrying into contact or trying to beat the player. In an attempt to get back into the game Bowden added a 12 player to the pitch after the restart but still couldn't break the Timps strong hold on the game. (Well done Woody for spotting that one!)
Ben was voted man of the match having been called on to make a number of important saves when the usually solid Timps defence was breached.
