Girl power!

This was a great run out from a primarily girls team, with the addition of Wilf, Josh and Ollie to make up numbers. Playing a younger Y7 Alderley C team it was against the run of play when Timperley went a goal down in the first quarter. A classic counter attack by Alderley saw the out rushing Tully beaten for Alderley to take the lead. The lead was nearly extended after Wilf, playing out of his usual position, lost the ball on the edge of the D with Tully making a great clearance to save Wilf's blushes!
With most of the play in the Alderley half, Anna was beginning to boss distribution to her forwards and decided that it was time to step up and level the scores, making it 1 - 1
Excellent running on the right wind saw Harriet take the ball to the base line and make good passes into the D on numerous occasions. Mabel came close to connecting several times which would have lead to certain goals. Ella showed determined tackling not giving Alderley players time to settle on the ball.
It's good to see that with more 11-a-side experience Kitty, Lucy and Eve are becoming more confident in their positional roles.
