1. Return to Play - Introduction and Overview

DETAILS FOR RETURN TO PLAY - Greater Manchester (curently Tier 3) Covid Restrictions)

The Latest Guidance from England Hockey Guidance was issued on 2nd December 2020 and supporting EH FAQ's (2ndDecember 2020)

This page will be updated with latest updates on playing procedures and arrangements Return to Play ( Step 5 and local covid restrictions) - please support us to keep THC a safe environment for everyone to enjoy their hockey and help contain the spread of the Covid virus.

Current Covid Alert Levels must also be adhered to - and this continues to impact hockey in for THC and whilst we are in Tier 2 and players not living in Greater Manchester.

All players, captains, coaches, parents and spectators MUST continue to support us to follow all of the requirements and reporting for every training sessions and match and help hockey as a sport continue to have an exemption to play and and train.

If you test positive for Covid, are awaiting a test result or have symptoms contact our Covid Officer Andrew Foster to provide details so we can meet the relevant EH reporting requirement - See at attached EH Covid Flow Chart.

Hockey specific rules and guidance must be read in conjunction with Timperley Sports Club Procedures and Rules including those on Social Distancing effective from 15th September 2020.

Please note: pitches must only be used for club approved training, coaching or matches. Do Not Use the Pitches at any time outside of the THC managed and controlled sessions as part of our approach to creating a safe and compliant environment in line with EH Step Guidance.

Andrew Foster has been appointed our THC Covid Officer and joined the Hockey Committee. Fozzy will be working with a small Covid Support team to cover every coaching session and match. If you have tested positive for Covid and been to the club contact Fozzy asap on 07736 363655

Attendance for every session (match or training) has to be reported to EH and no one must use the pitches in any way without permission and following our new operating procedures. Disciplinary action may be taken if this Rule is broken.

ALL PLAYERS (parents) , coaches, managers and umpires MUST complete the new EH Participation Agreement to play hockey of any kind (training, internal games or matches). Please complete asap so we can reduce the volunteer admin time spent checking if everyone directly involved in hockey at THC has completed the form

Everyone attending any session (or match) must be registered in advance and have had their attendance confirmed. This will work in different ways for different groups and more details will follow

Players and parents should familiarise themselves with the EH Stage Guidance attached as this is what you are consenting and agreeing to by submitting the EH form and no EH Form no play.
