Designs are being finalised and ties will be available from September and we hope many current and former members will snap up a natty neck piece to show your Timperley colours!

Timperley was still a small village in 1886 - but Cricket and Hockey was being played here at Stockport Road from 1883. The Cricket Section was formed in 1877 so they have a few years on us !

The Hockey Association (now England Hockey) was also formed in 1886 - so you can see what forward looking types the good folk of Timperley were to set up one of (if not 'the') first hockey club's in the North of England. So as a member of Timperley you really are part of the history of hockey in England!

During the season we'll be doing special features in 'BlueNotes' to share some of our history and we've been in touch with the Hockey Museum and plan to document as much of our history as possible. We're also trying to find the oldest Club Shirts still in existence and get them framed for the clubhouse - so do let us know if you can help find any Timperley items ! We know John Donnelly has a mystery suitcase of full of old THC items so we're looking forward to delving inside
