The Great Timperley Auction is back - and we need your help to gather the auction 'LOTS' to raise funds help transform our bar and community space!

The Great Timperley Online Auction 2025 – call for auction lots!
Shout out to all members, friends, local businesses – donate an auction ‘lot’ and help raise funds to transform our bar and community space! Our target for hockey is to donate 30 or more Lots to the auction so have a read and see how you can help and what sort of lots we're looking for

The Great Timperley Auction is a really simple way to get involved and help raise funds to improve and transform our bar / clubhouse and make a real difference and it doesn’t need to cost you a penny!

With planning permission approved its now full steam ahead to raise funds to complete the much awaited refurbishment of our 23 year old bar area, kitchen, bar cellar and WCs. The more we raise the more we can do.

The plan is to go out to tender in the Autumn 2025 to finalise and interior design costs with work planned in the first half of 2026. Our last online auction raised £6,000 towards the replacement outdoor terrace and this year we’re targeting raising £10,000 towards to the bar project.

Here’s how you can get involved and support the auction…
The Great Timperley Auction is an online charity auction that everyone can get involved in and will go ‘live’ on Friday 12th September at 18.00 hrs and run until Sunday 28th September 2025. Anyone can get involved, bid for the ‘Lots’ on offer and build towards that target!

But….the first step 1 is to gather the auction ‘Lots’…..
Between 1st to 31st August Lots can be donated by members, businesses, individuals, families or sections.

If you have a 'LOT' to donate or want to find out more contact Haroon Bangee, Shelagh Everett or Colin Taylor.

What sort of Auction Lots can be donated ?
Pretty much anything can be donated except for worn clothing, used items on poor repair, used electrical items and fresh food.

Here are some examples of items that would make ideal ‘Lots’ :

 • Pledge your skills or services - Do you have a professional skill that others might benefit from? Eg personal trainers, artists, school tutors, sports coaching, music teachers, CV writers, gardening tradespersons, (i.e. electricians, plumbers) etc. donate a couple of hours work, or an annual service or safety check up.
 • Sports memorabilia, clothing or equipment (new or nearly new / good condition)
 • Electrical items or gadgets (NOTE: only new and fully packaged items…)
 • bottles of spirits / cases of beer or wine (please drink responsibly !)
 • Vouchers – for restaurants, business, hotels, experiences etc
 • Sports, concert or theatre tickets – any footy season ticket holders willing to donate their seat(s) for a match ?
 • Holiday home – are you able to donate a few nights away ?
 • A food or pamper hampers (no fresh food please, just pre-packaged goodies)
 • Newly new items / good condition – bikes, equipment etc
 • Ask your employer if they have any items they could donate
 • Anything you think someone may bid for!

Donations from businesses
Nothing personally to donate? No problem! Why not help by contacting your employer, local businesses or business contacts to “politely ask for a ‘Lot’ donation’ – items, services, meals, vouchers etc that we can auction. Business / Companies that donate ‘Lots’ will acknowledge and recognised on the auction website (if they wish to be).

Download our Great Timperley Auction Introductory Letter 9see attached) to share with businesses to provide more details of TSC, our charitable status and how every ‘lot’ will make a difference to improving our community facilities.

Within the auction we can mark the ‘lot’ as donated by your company or organisation….

Still stuck for ideas….?
If you’d prefer, make a cash donation and we can source a ‘lot’ on your behalf that we can auction. Just contact Col Taylor at info@timperley-sports.com to discuss.
How……to donate an Auction Lot
For each ‘Lot’ we need you to source and provide the following:

 • Brief description of the item including any web links for more information if relevant and any limitations – e.g. expiry dates on vouchers etc
 • A photo or two to be used auction site to promote the ‘Lot’ and provide prospective bidders with a good view of the item
 • Name of donor and section (if relevant) and name to be displayed on auction site or if to be anonymous
 • Email the above details to info@timperley-sports.com and/or provide to your section lead auction co-ordinator

Any questions or still unsure if we can auction your item?
Contact Col Taylor at info@timperley-sports.com or Mike Welton on 07941 415440
The more auction lots we have the more funds we can raise towards the bar project and make a real difference to the club for everyone to enjoy and benefit from the much needed improvements.

Thanks, in anticipation of your support and making the 2025 a success and hitting our £10,000 target
