Launching ...The Great Timperley Auction !

Timperley Sports Club is not immune to the effects of the current climate nor the numerous challenges that accompany it. Balls remain untouched, goals untroubled and the drayman’s drop mate also an all too absent friend from our Stockport Road home.

Yet, in time honoured tradition TSC seeks to make both the best decisions it possibly can and at the same time create the most from the challenges we face. This happenstance allows us to look at how we can come together to support our club in both traditional and new ways.

To this end……

TSC presents “The Great Timperley Auction”! A never been seen before opportunity to both donate and bid on a truly exclusive collection of Lots, the proceeds will contribute towards the replacing of green pitch along with other ongoing running costs such as grounds maintenance and repairs to the clubhouse at a time when our income has been hit hugely.

Whilst we currently have an opening number of items (lots) that we plan to put into the sale, we would also like to present the opportunity for you to take part and help us bridge the ‘£’ gap we face. It couldn’t be easier!

See examples of the sort of lots we are - and aren't - looking, so if you have any ideas could donate here's what we need you to do by 12noon on 9th June 2020:

1. Take a photo or photos of the item so that Bidders / Supporters get a great idea of what it is that is donated
2. Write a brief 1-2 line description.
3. Email everything toinfo@timperley-sports.com
4. Deadline for receipt of your photo and description is Tues 9th June 12noon. We will arrange delivery / collection of physical items on Weds 10th/Thu 11th June.

The Auction will go ‘Live’ on Fri 12th and will end on Saturday 20th June at 18.30pm
Over the next 2-3 weeks, we’ll be promoting the auction throughout the club via website, social media and whats app groups.

The auction will go ‘live’ on the club website and anyone can bid on any item. Details about payment by the winning bidder and collection of items will be clearly marked.

Here's some examples of some thumbs up items that fit the bill.....
- Sports memorabilia – Signed shirt / Bat/ Club/Stick?
- Sports equipment – any unwanted new or ‘almost new’ equipment you don’t need?
- Small electrical goods – BUT only new and fully packed, please and like a day out to Barnard Castle we need to be safe!
-Bottles of wine or case of beer?
-Yourself – we plan to have a ‘give yourself’ section where you can offer yourself and/or family member’s to do some gardening, ironing, tidy up or wash a car – whatever
you can do!
- Unaccompanied under 18s cannot offer themselves, unless we have parental permission
- Holiday home – you might have or know of someone who lets out a property and might be prepared to offer a few days away when normality returns.
- Sports Tickets – Are you a season ticket holder and might be prepared to give up your seats for a match?
- A Food hamper – no fresh food please, just goodies
- Are you a business owner or know someone who is and you are prepared to offer a product or service?

Items that get the thumbs down this time for lots include:
- Clothing
- Perishable goods
- Old electrical equipment
- Any gift or service that might involve going into someone house to set up. Sorry not this time…maybe next.
