Following the success of our 2025 Yoga programmes we're back with a 10 week programme designed for Masters Players (30+) BOOK NOW!

Great news to start 2026 - Kelly Burdett will be running a new 10 week block of Yoga for Hockey Maintenance sessions at the club starting on Wednesday 21st January 2026! (moved back by one week). Now open to aged 30+ too !

Kelly's worked on the feedback from the two blocks run in 2025 and the new outline programme is set out below so its first come first served - don't delay booking your place!

BLOCK DETAILS - 'Yoga for Hockey Maintenance' 10 week programme
- from Wednesday 21st January - 25th March 2026 (10 sessions)
- 8.15pm to 9.15pm at Timperley Sports Club (please arrive for 8pm to give time to set up and ready to start at 8.15pm

- yoga mats and blocks provided so just bring your self in comfy clothing!

This programme builds on the initial Foundations of (Hatha) Yoga delivered in 2025, tailored specifically to support Masters hockey players. In addition to the fundamental principles, postures and philosophy of yoga, it will focus on addressing muscle imbalances from Hockey’s low, right sided stance, focussing on injury prevention & enhancing recovery. Specifically being offered to maintain & sustain play throughout the second half of the season, however all O35s member welcome.

The 10-weeks will address specific needs focussed on hip, spine & shoulder mobility (shoulders, lower back, ankles, knees) & mental resilience, through strength work and flexibility using flows, balancing postures & breathwork.

  • Week 1 Rejuvenation (Rest & Reset for January)
  • Week 2 Flexibility & Fascia (The role of the breath in oxygenating the fascia)
  • Week 3 Core Connection & Spinal Rotation (Awaking the stabilisers)
  • Week 4 Strength & Stability (The powerhouse muscles of hockey)
  • Week 5 Flow (From stiffness to motion)
  • Week 6 Recovery & Mobility (Moving with agility & flow)
  • Week 7 Balance & Focus (Concentrating the mind using the breath)
  • Week 8 Attunement (Tuning into the bodies messages)
  • Week 9 Mental Strength (Calm thinking, to smart playing)
  • Week 10 Resilience (Tools for a resilient mind & body)
