This past year we have worked extremely hard as a club of volunteers to keep the Academy hockey on. As you will be aware this requires voluntary time from people. As we move forward into next season, we will be setting up a new Academy Committee of people to help run and organise our Academy Programme (up to Under 18's).

The Academy cover from age 5 - 18 and we have over 200 young players. This is not a one person job and if we want our players to have the best experience, we now need to return to having an academy (sub) committee working as part of our #OneClub overall THC Committee that I sit on.

This is in addition to our Team of Coaches and we are keen to support all our coaches to develop over the support through EH online courses and will be in touch soon with opportunities. This is really important for next Season as we have applied to be an England Hockey Talent Centre and are committed to working with coaches - one and new - parents and players - to take our Academy to the next level.

Academy Fixtures coordinator - they will work closely with Kieran Jeffery (THC fixtures secretary) to ensure pitches are booked for the weeks ahead and then inform the parent managers of the pitch slots.

Pitchero Match / Training Session Secretary - load all fixtures / training sessions onto Pitchero, update and maintain

Membership secretary - Data collection at the start of the season and organisation of players into the right age group on Pitchero. Adding new members throughout the year and checking of Pitchero groups. Ensuring Parent Managers have names of players in their age group teams. Working with THC / TSC to ensure all Academy players have padi annual subs / fees.

We also have vacancies for Parent Managers who will work with coaches and send out the invites for the matches for their team, check availability, confirm the fixture with the opposition, are there on the day with the coach, update Pitchero and collect match fees

Sunday morning helpers - sending out the invites from pitchero, welcoming, signing in, coaching

Tuesday night helpers - sending out the invites from Pitchero welcoming, signing in,

Kit and Equipment organiser to work with Sarah Williams on helping with online orders and academy equipment, first aid kits etc

Fundraising - ideally a team on this to organise events for the academy players and parents and raise funds/ sponsorship
