Academy hockey will return on a phased basis to meet EH Step 4 Guidance. Sign up and provide key info for all U18s ASAP

Deadline extended - we need ALL UNDER 18's to complete the form (even if playing senior hockey only) - please complete the form ASAP so we can plan for the new season / training groups. No form - no invites to training / matches !

This season there will be a phased return for all Academy hockey as we implement the England Hockey Return to Hockey requirements over the next few weeks. There are now limits on the number of players in a group and on a pitch, so all players will need to be allocated to a training group before they can Return to Play and we need parents/ carers help to do this as quickly as possible.

Academy Stage 1 - Intent to Play (to identify player numbers/training groups)
Parents / carers of all Under 18 MUST complete academy registration form online to train or play junior or senior hockey. U18 Information is required for those playing senior hockey roo. THC Academy- Return to Play Stage 1 Sign Up Form

It’s also that time of year where we do our academy player registration. This season as with many other things it will have to be done slightly differently. All U18s MUST complete the online form (link above) to play junior or senior hockey regardless of where they played last season or over the summer. This form will be used to allocate and invite players to designated training groups. If this form is not completed players will not be bale to train or play! Please complete one form per player (U18).

For stage 1 you need to:
- complete Academy online information form by 2nd September 2020
- complete EH Participation Agreement in the name of each player EH Participation Agreement
- Watch the EH Return to Play Guidance Video (parents and players) EH Return to Play Video
- Update your Pitchero Profile (parent and player). Log into https://www.timperleyhockeyclub.com/ or update via the Pitchero App
- only attend your first training sessions when you have been invited via Pitchero to a specified group, and accepted, so we can meet Step 4 Group size restrictions and submitting attendance registers to EH for all sessions / players.

It is really important that you do not just turn up to training and that you wait for your Pitchero invitation to a training group and reply to accept. If you turn up to play at the club and have not completed the above steps and or not received an invite to an allocated session you will not be able to play.

Stage 2 - Phased return to training for Academy
Once all the EH Step 4 admin and training groups are set up we will starting training on a phased basis to manage player numbers and allow players, coaches and parents time to adjust to the 'new normal' in a safe way. The intended timetable to return invited groups of players to train is:

Tuesday Evening Academy Session - new time 17:30 to 18:45
The planned first session for invited players will be on Tuesday 8th September. Subject to player numbers this session will be for all Year 8 - 11 players and invited Year 7's

Sunday Academy Session - 11.00 to 12.30 (times may change slightly to allow a bigger gaps and social distancing between sessions)

The plan is to invite:
- school years 3 - 6/7 back from Sunday 13th September
- Cubs (aged 5) up to school year 2 back on Sunday 20th September (11.00 - 12noon)

Stage 2 will also include completion of Academy Registration, updating consent forms and payment of outstanding TSC Subscriptions and THC academy fees.

There will be no Academy training sessions on Sunday 6th September or Registration.

Stage 3 - Matches and Tournament
Saturday matches against other clubs will restart in early October and GMJHL is due to start at the end of September.

Like most of life we are all having to adapt to changes to the way that we do things and our approach at THC is to do so in 'bite sized chunks' so we can Return to Hockey in a safe way and in a way for players to enjoy and help reduce the spread of the coronvirus.

Thank you for your support to help us manage the safe return of 200 academy members back onto the turf.

#StaySafe and we look forward to welcoming back our academy players and families over the next few weeks
