Catch up with this weeks news - Eighteen Hockey Pop Up Shop , Christmas Kit Order window opens, HT Camps and our own 'Houdini' revealed!

Another weekend full of all things hockey before the Half term league break next weekend so let's make it a good one !

Some of last weekend's highlights
- It's 4 from 4 for Men's 1 and Ladies 1 lead with pack with 100% records and 12 points each
- highest score last week was 4 goals and from lots of teams! Bagging wins and 4 goals were: Men's 1, Men's 2, Ladies 1, U16 Girls; U14 Boys
- fastest goal - after 4 minutes for the Ladies 4' s (name withheld on GMS)
- total goals scored (senior teams) - 34 (35 last week!)
- total goals conceded (senior teams) - 30 (19 last week) so a bit of a leaky sieve week!
- another debut for M2 coach Nathan Redman this time playing for the M4's outfield (he's a keeper!)
- first win in with EH T1 Supra League for U16 girls winning 4 -1 away at Sutton Coldfield

Eight home games today, all got on the Blue pitch with L2 (12noon), L1 in a top of the table clash v fellow unbeaten Kirkby Stephen (2pm), Men's 1 have another local derby v Didsbury Northern at the earlier time of 4pm ( take a sneak look at the programme attached!) and lets get lots of support out for the 5.30pm match - M8's v Bowdon 9's. Over on the green its: M5 (12.15), M3 (13.45), L3 (15.15) and L6 (16.45). Sadly we had to cancel this weeks Otters games as we've not home pitch and been unable to access an off site option - but we're working hard to find pitch space when we have *+ home games.

EH Knock Out Championships start on Sunday for our young Blues and thank to all the managers and coaches who've worked hard to get teams out a challenge with HT looming! Good luck to all teams and pop down to support the home teams - Boys U18 v Bowdon (1pm) and Girls U14G v Alderley (2.30pm).

Whose the Harry Houdini of WA15 ?
Spotlight this week on our fledgling Men's 8s who are three game into their first season in the league as a development team. captain Dave Orpets doing a great job bringing his band of brother together and good to see some old faces back on the turf including Dave McGuire. Goals from Matt Shallcross, Calvin O'Connor and Alan Russell gave the lads a 3 - 2 win v Bowdon 8's in the late game at AGSB. All good so far but the no doubt reliving his goal whilst enjoying a shower took a different turn for Alan Russell finding himself alone and locked in the building! Alan applied all his talents to break out, navigate a couple of fences and a conversation after being greeted by a Police Officer after breaking free. Probably best Alan shares the full details in the bar !
