Young Blues back in full force !
We know how much our young blues love their hockey and they've shown again that they're no fair weather hockey players as they took another drenching at training and the first Armitage tournament of the season! It seems like the harder it rains the bigger the smiles !

The Badgers, Beavers and Otters are now back in full flow on a Saturday and the Sunday NW U14 and U16 League games and EH Championships games (U14/U16 and U18) start from next week for some age groups - as well as the Armitage monthly tournaments for the younger groups. Parents are reminded to make sure Pitchero availability is kept up to date to help coaches planning especially as fixtures are added. Big thanks again to all our coaches, parent managers and helps who make all this happen and welcome to Nathan Redman our new M2s coach whose taken over as lead coach for the U14/16 boys on a Monday, and to John Dixon one of our TA coaches whose providing cover and support with the girls on a Monday if Zoe or Helen aren't available.

We're looking forward to our first junior family social at the club on Friday 4th October 7.00pm to 8.30pm for cubs to U16's. Last call to get your tickets over the next few days so we can finalise food orders and the evening ! These are great events and ways for some important off pitch time for players and parents and all part of hockey being more than a sport!

EH Spirit of Hockey Code of Conduct and new regulations- replaces previous Respect Guidance
The spirit of hockey - both on and off the pitch - has always been important to us at THC and making hockey a great place to be for all is at the heart of what THC's all about. England Hockey has updated some key documents over the summer and the previous Respect Guidance has been replaced with a new Spirit of Hockey - Code of Conduct and Regulations

We'll be reviewing our own THC Code of Conduct this week at the hockey committee so will share our updated THC Code shortly to align with the new EH code. The Regulations for discipline have also changed and there are now No Matchday Misconduct Offences (MMO's) anything not on the pitch will be dealt with by a red card (and immediate ban).

Let's continue to make THC a great place to play, umpire, coach and watch hockey by living by the ethos of THC and the values and principles that underpin the 'Spirit of Hockey'

Supporting Hockey at Timperley - can you or your business help ?
Running hockey at THC cost c £95K in 2023 - 24 with everything from affiliations entry fees and insurance (c £10k), Pitch Hire (£13K), coaching including development training (£45k), teas (c£8k), equipment, training and development and everything else needed to run hockey for nearly 500 players. None of your TSC Subscriptions come to the hockey section - these go to TSC to fund the pitches, clubhouse and all the costs of having one of the best club sets ups in the North of England.

We have to raise the income needed to run hockey and this takes a huge amount of work from alots of people and we couldn't do what we do without this or income from our sponsors. All our sponsorship monies got towards helping run the overall hockey club so we're reaching out for members, parents and friends of THC to support what we do as individuals or through businesses.

We'll be sharing more ways to support this week but getting involved starts from £100 to sponsor a Match Day and goes through all price points, from £150 to sponsor a M1 player, £300 for a pitch side banner and community sponsors from £1000. Please contact Shelagh Everett, your captain or club captain, Anna Mawby or any of the committee if you'd be interested in supporting THC as a sponsor.

We are also delighted to announce that Davidson’s are our new M1's Gold Sponsors and supporting us for a second season and that Chews Health are now a M1's Silver sponsor. Its great to have Jack Chew and teams Clinic on site at the club too and pop by to say hi and take up book in for a free 15 minute assessment for any niggles, injuries or rehab advice.
Big thanks also to our other THC Community Sponsors - Eighteen Hockey and Myerson. Jo Royall from Eighteen Hockey will be down with her pop up shop again on Saturday 19th October and don't forget your 20% THC discount off RRP prices. We're also finalising plans for member seminars with Myerson too in the Autumn.

This weeks Match Sponsor if Shelagh Everett and next Sundays Match Sponsor is available for £100 to a business or supporter and includes name check in the programme and on our match day clubhouse posters and of course free entry to the game ! get in touch if interested in bagging this slot !
