Congratulations to our Men's Over 30's captained by Matt Horan who picked up our first silverware of the season winning the EH Summer Championship last Sunday at Oxford Hawks v. Havering. In a classic 4-3 Timperley men's scoreline the lads were 3-0 up at half time, slipping to 3-3 (still waiting hear more details of what went on so one for the bar !) to snatch a final drag flick winner in the final throws of the game. Scoring a whooping 21 goals throughout the competition to pick up the silver slaver now gracing the TSC trophy cabinet. Well done to all the lads involved.

Congratulations also go out to Kiery Horne who topped off an amazing week in Rotterdam at the Masters European Championships winning Gold with England Over 35's a great achievement. Next week Lou Hutchinson will be off to Krefled, Germany for Over 50's Euro's - follow the games at https://masters.altiusrt.com/competitions.

We're just catching up with some of our academy players and will be updating soon on their progress for selection for the new cycle of Single System Performance Centre and our first girl to be selected for the UK Lions U13 invitational team. Great to see players of all ages gaining representative honours - but also showing how weather you're 12 or 50+ hockey is a genuine sport for all !

Getting ready for the new season !

Senior club training* for all players (not involved in the Performance Squad training) kicked off this week and we welcomed new club coach Paul Lewis who put the women through their paces ! Current, returning from Uni and new players are all welcome - meet on the Green Pitch Tuesday's in August at 7.15pm (sessions will run 7.30pm - 9.30pm).

In season training times - due to increasing players numbers at all levels and with both teams in the national league we've been reviewing training slots with the club and others sports sections. This is part of an annual process and hockey, along with the other winter sections have agreed a new model for pitch time, including fees paid to the club for pitch training time. From September, we will move to our in season training slots on a Tuesday and an additional slot on Thursday's 8.00pm - 10.00pm for the Performance Squads. The changes for junior football, lacrosse and hockey has displaced some long standing football hirers and the club is working with the teams to try and find alternative slots.
