As we reach the business end of the league and cup season congratulations go to the Ladies 2's who last weekend secured promotion into North West Premier Division next season with three games to go! 9 points clear and 3 to play just one more point will bring even more celebrations as we take the title. Well done to all involved, coach Mat Gotts, Captain Kirsty Bass, and Manager Eileen Bass and all the players.

Hockey Round Up
Keep up to date with all the results, league tables and fixtures at
THC Fixtures, Results and Tables for all senior teams and U14 / U16 and U18 teams.

- a slip up by Leeds M1 has opened it all up again in Mens Conference North as we are now back the same points as Leeds but have played a game more. M1 will be chasing down everything towards the final clash of the season v Leeds on 2nd April (away) - today they head to Sheffield Hallam after bouncing back to winning ways last Saturday under the lights 5 -2 v Ben Rhydding

- Ladies 1 head to Fylde today after dropping points to a much improve Durham Uni 2s last weekend. Sitting 4th in the table the 1's the squad look to consolidate and finish well to build again next season. This is a big turnaround from last season and its good to be focusing on foundations for next season on and off the pitch rather than the relegation battle we were in last season.

- M2's are sitting 5th in the NW Prem - the highest place 2nd Team which is a great achievement in out first season at this level and great work by Albert, Ross and the lads to really make a mark in Prem and consolidate on previous seasons.

- M3 romp on and with another win last weekend have scored 155 goals this season - but still only sit 1 point clear of our neighbours Sale 1's - so this one really does look as it will go all the way to the final game Sale 1 v Timperley 3. Keep the focus lads and lets get this title over the line

- come down and support the L3 if your can as they remain battling to avoid the drop, with 3 games to go every point will help and all support is really welcome. Keep going girls you play some lovely hockey and we just need some of the M3 magic goal scoring dust sprinkled to help the ball in the back of the net !

- Niall Scott is now hopefully a little more relaxed as M6leap to safety after picking up 6 points last weekend with good wins including a 12-0 thriller v Leigh on Sunday !

- All our other teams are safe and will enjoy the final league games of the season - and the better weather ! The Badger and Beavers are in action too this weekend so why not take a look at our Blue Future if down at the club

- U14 / U16's are rolling on too with NW Junior League Semi Finals / Finals coming up too

- sadly it wasn't to be for the Ladies O35s this year as they went out of the EH T1 Masters Championships to Didsbury Northern, a tough one for the girls but its great to see more our our younger players getting involved in masters and this team has great potential for the future and a LV final !

The Mini's are the first steps on the competitive ladder for our young blues with the top two gong through to the NW finals - and U12's with the chance of a National Final.

Importantly the Mini's is a great days hockey for all our young players who've worked really hard to prepare with extra training sessions to fine tune for tournament play. Thanks to all the coaches and parents who may our U12 and below hockey happen. Good luck to all the THC teams taking part and why not pop to the club to support the Girls - see Eighteen hockey and pick up a cake or two from Janet's cake stall ! Big thanks to Woody, Leonnie, Ross and Fozzy who have stepped up to be the on the day Tournament Organisers.

For the second season on the bounce we've two young blues teams in EH Championships Semi Finals on 19th March which shows how far we've come as a club since out first Junior National Final back in 2014! Congratulations to all involved players, coaches, managers and supporters and parents.

The Boys U18's head back down to Eastbourne this evening for the 're-match' of last seasons EH U16 T2 Semi Final when we came out winners and went on to win the T2 Final v Hampstead and Westminster. Safe travels to all and after the 14-0 goal fest v Wakefield in the QF we're sure Albert will re-set the lads to focus on discipline and shape continue to let their hockey do the talking!

The U14 Girls are off to Worcester tomorrow for their EH T2 Plate Semi Final - also defending champions. With two excellent wins on the road in Yorkshire at Leeds and Doncaster to get to the Semi Final we're sure Anna M and Nat S and support team will equally get the girls in the zone in the Semi Final.

300 Club and Hot Water !

Not as loose a link as you may be thinking! This weekend we've lovely how showers again and plenty of water with our new £26k hot water system for the building being up and running! Its also the 300 Club Draw at 6.30pm in the clubhouse this evening. The 300 Club is one of our main fundraisers and with your support should raise £6k this year towards club improvements and investments like the hot water. We also received a £10k ECB grant for this project but the rest is funded by TSC - so this is what subs, bar trade, pitch hire and fundraising helps support as well as running the clubhouse and pitches.
