Getting the games on...

We've had a tough few weeks availability wise with Half Term and thank everyone whose turned out to play and Umpire . Thanks too to Haroon Bangee who took up our whistler challenge last week and has volunteered to do the EH Umpiring course to grow the pool of umpires to make sure we can get up to 20 games on a weekend. There's still time to follow Haroon's lead, or just do the EH On Line Umpire Test so you can help out with the lower team games. See how you can help Spotlight on our whistlers and getting involved

We've also published our new #oneclub Selection Policy this week following feedback from last season player survey. Please do keep Pitchero or your Captain up to date on any changes to your availability and lets keep getting as many people playing hockey as possible each week.

Next Saturday (2nd November) both 1's have a week off due to the Olympic Qualifiers, the Ladies 3,4 and 5's have the CWHL break and the Badgers and Beavers also get another week off linked to Half Term. We hope from next weekend availability will pick up again.

We know that some of the challenges of getting the game on are linked to the way hockey is organised and the various Rules and Regulations. We've completed our club input to the EH Governance Review this week about gaining views on the way hockey is structures at a league level across the country. This links to a set of outline proposals about how leagues and associations are structured and potential changes from the 2021 - 22 season.
