Women’s Performance GK’s Wanted!

Timperley Hockey Club are looking to recruit GK’s to play in their women’s performance squad (Women’s 1s and 2’s).

• Women’s 1’s- National League Conference North,
• Women’s 2’s- North West Hockey Premier Division.

This opportunity has arisen as our current GK’s are heading to university.

Ideally you will have experience at National League level, or have high potential and a performance mindset to want to perform and play at this level at NW Prem and National League level.

The Performance Squads are lead by Women's Head Coach, Chris Simcock, and training on a Tuesday and alternate Thursdays. In addition, we there are technical GK training sessions too. The squad have access to video analysis and a strong support system to support our performance squad environment.

Pre-season on pitch sessions start from mid July, to completement the women's performance fitness programme from June - so get in touch to come down and find out more and join our 2026/27 campaign from July!

Timperley Hockey Club has some of the best club-based facilities in the North of England and is the only club-based facility in the North West with two floodlit on-site pitches, clubhouse, bar and a lively club culture and environment . With £500,000 invested in pitches since 2020 and a major £400,000+ project underway this summer to extend the clubhouse and refurbish, Timperley offers a brilliant on and off pitch experience for its members.

All training and home matches are played at Timperley Sports Club, WA15 7LU, which is close to the M56,M60 and M6 and public transport nearby, trains, Metrolink and buses. We have players from across the North West so there may also be opportunities for lift shares too!

With a dedicated committee, 14 senior teams (6 women’s), a thriving junior system, masters teams and supportive membership it is an exciting time to be join Timperley Hockey Club. The club’s organisation, coaching teams and facilities have supported Timperley being selected as one of the England Hockey’s Talent Academy’s. The club is also in the process of completing Talent Club Certification with England Hockey.
