Second match of the double header weekend... #comeonyoublues

Sunday came and after a long warm up to loosen the aching limbs from the day before, Timperley again started the brighter of the sides. Some good transfers around the back by Horan, Halkyard and Phillips were keeping the Doncaster side moving.

Despite the early possession, it was the away side who got the breakthrough goal, and soon also their second to stun Timperley and leave them with an early two goal deficit to recover from.

A half time tactical talk from stand-in manager Dawson-Smith seemed to work wonders and Timperley started the half really well and got their rewards a minute in. Nowakowski aerialing the ball 50 yards down the right wing and into the area. A galloping Horan had his eyes on it all the way, and with a superb first time touch- directed it past the 'keeper and into the far bottom corner. What a goal, and it was game on.

With Timperley looking for an equaliser, Doncaster caught them on the break and another good passing move resulted in them going 3-1 up. Timperley needed to dig in and fight if they were to get anything from the the game.

As like Saturday's game, Timperley were again reduced to 10 men at 3-1 down as Bolton was yellow carded for a rash foul.

With ten minutes remaining, the home side looked to have a lifeline with
Nowakowski pushing the ball past the Doncaster 'keeper and into the bottom corner to reduce the deficit to 3-2. The game was end-to-end and Chris Rea in the Timperley goal had to make some superb saves to keep Doncaster at bay.

Time was running out and the home side were pushing for an equaliser. With a minute remaining a hit into the area bounced off the post and flew back out into the mix, and luckily for Timperley it fell nice for Bradders King to slot home- showing his reactions are still as sharp as ever and sending the Timperley crowd wild!

All in all it was a good weekend from the side as they remain unbeaten from two tough games and remain in contention at the top end of the table going into next Saturday's game at home to City of York, which is a 2:30pm start.
