Timperley Beavers vs Bowdon B

Timperley Beavers came away from Saturday’s game scratching their heads and wondering how they drew a game that they had completely dominated throughout. But for an excellent performance by the Bowdon goalkeeper and some wayward finishing by Timperley they would have come away with a very comfortable victory. That said, to come from 2-0 down at half time with goals from Luke Jerrome and Wilf Roberts was an excellent effort from the whole team. It was a real lesson learned for everyone that keeping going and believing in the ability of the team will still get you out of difficult situations and everyone was really pleased to keep our unbeaten run going.

There were really good performance across the side but particular mention should go to Roisin Driscoll who tackled superbly all game and distributed the ball with real power and accuracy. Other notable performances came from Josie Hatton who showed real flexibility in playing in various position, Wilf Roberts who put in a great shift for the team and equally to Will McBride who linked play very well down the left side. Hamish Gonzales-Sweeney also deserves special mention for his bravery in playing on with a cut thumb after a reckless tackle by a Bowdon player. The Beavers look to get back to winning ways next Saturday when they host another local rival in Brooklands.
