Timperley Beavers vs Chester A

On a cold and latterly very wet day at Chester, Timperley Beavers ran out comfortable winners. Timperley were dominant in the first half when the game was decided with the team linking well and moving the ball early. Charlotte Lord opened the scoring with a powerful shot from the top of the circle. Rory Driscoll continued his scoring run with a couple of goals and another from Wilf Roberts put Timperley comfortably ahead at half time.

Chester came back strongly in the second half but Timperley matched them well in defence with strong tackling from Roisin Driscoll, Jaz Lord and Callum Brown. If there is a criticism of the second half it is the fact that their play became too narrow and we played up the middle of the park too much. Will McBride had an excellent second half distributing the ball early and putting in a strong effort.
Callum Brown also put in a strong performance driving well out of defence.
