Andy and Jo (Woody) are our Umpire Co-ordinator and is responsible for organising Umpires for all senior league / cup games and Junior games unless appointed by the appropriate league administrators.

With more hockey opportunities to pay the demand for club umpiring grows year on year. We now appoint club umpires to fulfil 350+ appointments on Saturdays, Sundays, mid week for all genders and ages.

Join our band of 'whistlers' and your see the game in a whole new light with a supportive group of umpire colleagues to help you take those first steps in junior games and progress and develop the the level you're comfortable umpiring at. We provide umpire radios for all games and your own personal headset to use - radios have helped transform the experience so come and have a go!

Get in touch via your captain. parent manager of direct to Andy Ent and Woody to have a chat about getting started or picking up a whistle again and they'll guide you to get set up and work with our Umpire Developers Nick and Malcom. EH now provide free training and support resources and courses are on line at a range of times.

A further very important requirement is for all umpires to register on the GMS as umpires.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Please choose the Bronze membership which is free. You are all covered for Public liability by the club's own insurance to umpire all Timperley Hockey Club games.
If you need to umpire games outside of the club but on its behalf e.g. University or school games played at Timperley or elsewhere then you will need Silver membership.

ONE LAST ASK
Some lower level teams will not need Level 1 assessed umpires. However, anyone who does volunteer to umpire a game to help out must:
A. Complete The Online Rules Test

B. Notify Nick Burnett that they have sat and passed the test and on what date.
C. Download their certificate for future reference
