National League Hockey is Back - time to watch some hockey!
After the National League mid-season break the 1's are back in action today. The L1's have the early start with an away trip to Pendle Forest in a top of the table opener! Back at Stockport Rd, Saturday Night Hockey under the lights is back with the M1 v Preston 6pm push back. Let's get a good crowd down for another enjoyable evenings hockey and post match drinks in the clubhouse....and no doubt a few Hazy Janes to wish M1 captain a Happy Birthday will be had !

Do try and support our other home games over the weekend - the Ladies 2's v Wilmslow are on at 12.15 on the Blue looking to maintain pole position in NW Division 1 with sights clearly set on promotion this season. The goal machine known as the Men's 3 (100 so far this season with a 77 GD) are on at 15:15 v Warrington also aiming to keep top spot in NW Div 4 (East). Other home games on Saturday: L3 v Moss Park (12:15), M4 v Brooky and our new Men's Development Team v Bolton both at 13:45, L6 at 15:15 v Didsbury 7 and Badgers v Bowdon at 16:45. The Men's 2's play their rearranged league match at Bowdon on Sunday too!

NEW MEN'S CLUB CAPTAIN
Huge welcome to our new Men’s Club Captain, Dave Price (M3's) whose taken on this important role – big thanks to Pricey for getting involved and big thanks to Timur Asar, whose standing down due to work commitments, for his support and work this season.

We're looking forward to having Pricey on board for the rest of the season and he'll be working with the Men's Captains and the THC Committee. Pricey has a good feel for the club, the Mens 1 -3's and is keen to learn more about the lower mens teams, he's also hooked into our Junior Sunday mornings set up too. He'll be working along side Jo Robinson our Women's Club Captain to co-ordinate and oversea all things hockey on the pitch for the senior teams.

MASTERS HOCKEY
The Ladies O35's continued on the Road to Lee Valley with a solid 3 - 0 win over Liverpool Sefton last Sunday and have another home tie on 12th February v Boots (Nottt'm). Sadly the Road to East London has ended for the Men's O50's who lost away at Ben Rhydding 4 - 2 and the Men's O40's who were unable to field a team.

If you fancy seeing some grand Masters Hockey this weekend why not pop down on Sunday to watch North West Men's O65's v Wales Men's O65's on the Green Pitch 13:00 push back. We've also the Boys U14 v North Staff on the other pitch to showcase what a life long sport hockey is !

JUNIOR NEWS!

Big shout out his week to our amazing under 14 Girls who travel to Leeds on Sunday for the next round of the EH Junior Championships T2 Plate - so much energy in this team both on and off the pitch. All the best to Anna and Kerry and the travelling supporters.

The Boys U18 have a bye in their T2 Championship game and have to wait to play their next round match on 26th February - its great to have two junior teams still in their respective national Competitions

NEW PARTNERS
As well as the TSC partnership with Chews Health, THC are also working with a new partner, Universal Signage, and we have new THC banners arriving soon including #RESPECT FOR ALL in the game to continue to keep THC a great place to play, coach, whistle and watch hockey. Please remember this when watching and playing home and away that we want to respect and up hold the values and great reputation of our sport.

We've new THC sponsor banners on both pitches and are working hard to fill the fence to raise vital funds to support hockey and promote local businesses. If you, your employer or any contacts you have with local businesses would like to support grass roots community sport and promote their business contact Shelagh Everett or Niall Scott and help us get the fence filled !

TSC MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTIONS / THC FEES
There are still some outstanding subs that need to be paid mainly for juniors (U18's) - if you've not paid your 2022-23 TSC Membership Subscription (and THC Fees for Juniors) - please log onto https://timperley.first-sports.com/Timperley. For U18's parents need to register first and then add their child as an U18 and purchase the relevant Sub. Any new junior members / players (since January 2023) should contact Anna Mawby.

We will be chasing up all outstanding payments over the next few days so please help reduce volunteer time spend on this by getting in touch with Shelagh Everett or Anna Mawby or the Junior Admin team, so we can finalise everything for this season.

CALLING ALL WHISTLERS (AGAIN!) !
We really need your help guys to help fill the slots coming up - and would like to ask again if any hibernating whistlers can pop their names down for 2 or 3 games to help us fulfil all the fixtures we need to cover until the end of the league season. Please remember - no umpires - no hockey ! Some whistlers are still having to double up (and some play too) to cover games pelase do your bit to #makehockeyhappen.
