Volunteer recognition

At we start to close off the 2018-19 season we will be recognising our volunteers in many ways. This Friday we will be awarding the Clubman and Ladies Volunteer of the Season trophies. The Academy Presentations Day will include the Volunteer, Coach and Young Leaders Awards as well as The Stan Johnson Young Club Member of the Year too. We'll be recognising our volunteers and thanking them over the next few weeks to show the appreciation from all across the section for those who have made hockey happen this season at THC.

Congratulations too to Ross Small, Men's 2's victorious captain and Academy Coach, whose picked up the two tickets to the Men's Pro League match at Lee Valley on 4th May that we offered to our volunteers to thank them for their contribution.

Get your hockey fix.........

Whilst it's a rare hockey free weekend at Timperley there are lots of ways to get your hockey fix over the coming weeks and lots of hockey to take a look at and pick up some nifty tips for pre-season and summer league ! This weekend its the European Hockey League (EHL) taking place that can be viewed on line https://ehlhockey.tv/ and a great opportunity for young or old players to watch some of the best club hockey in the world.

The https://www.thehockeypaper.co.uk/ is back in print and available on line and has lots of new sections including for young players and umpires. Do have a look, and support this venture either by following on twitter and facebook and support independent (of EH) hockey media coverage - as its all good for our sport's profile and building the profile and awareness of hockey ! Or take a look at http://www.galvanisedhockey.com/ who get no funding now from EH and do weekly highlights packages and some live streaming of games.

BT Sports Hockey website https://sport.bt.com/hockey-01364070232829 also has the highlights of the Men's and Women's Pro League games and as well as some hockey masterclass video's too. Don't forget BT Sport will also be showing the FIH Pro League with Germany v GB women on 24th April and Germany v GB Men on 28th April https://www.fihproleague.com/

For Albert and the some of the THC lads at AGSB there is still the matter of a couple of England Hockey National Schools finals to play at Lee Valley w/c 28th April and we'll be updating on these next week along with hockey through Caroline Small's sterling work on Hockey Development THC are supporting and developing hockey in primary and secondary schools.

Enjoy the great weather and catch up next week when subject to Mr Judd's return from holiday we will be sending out the link for our 2019 THC Survey !
