An historic day! Lets get lots of support down for the 1's games this Saturday (Ladies at 3.30pm) and our Late Game Men's 1 v Alderely Edge at 5.30pm. This is the first time the club has had both 1's in theEngland Hockey League (aka National League) so lets get down and support be loud proud and blue ! 28th September match day details ! Also we're launching some great new social media this weekend on Instragram, Twitter and Facebook so get following @timperleyhockey Thanks to Connor, Alice and Dave and all the 1's photographic models for making this happen !
Awards - we're delighted to have been names England Hockey North West most engaged club for the 2018-19 season recognising a whole range of things including hosting EH forums, Clubmark, running Hockey Heroes and more ! Thanks to all involved and we have a been given a signed GB women's shirt that we'll be sharing more news on soon and how our academy members can go in a draw to win it !
Availability - all players, all ages need to updated pitchero or captains or whatever system if is place teams you may play in as its causing a nightmare for our volunteer captains who are trying to manage all the challenges of early season selection. Sadly this week we had to cancel the Mens 7 due to lack of players
Bonkers Bingo - Saturday 28th September from 7.30pm see link for more details of our first social of the year - free to come along and come even if you dont like bingo as they'll be a DJ til midnight, Chilli and Rice for £3.50 (up til 7.15pm) -£5 for 5 games if you are in to win it !
Cakes - Janet Wood will be back with her fund-raising cake stall on Saturday 28th September so support her amazing fundraising efforts for THC and enjoy a tasty cake or two too !
Cashback - please be aware that the bar isn't handling as many cash sales now in the the age of tap and go so please bring cash for match fees as there may not be sufficient cash to give everyone cash back early in the day - fine later on ! Cash Machine at Shell Garage if needed
Car parking this weekend - we've eight home games, two lax games and the junior football cross over so parking will be manic plus roadworks on Stockport Rd. Ditch the car if you can - share a lift, walk, taxi or bike down to help avoid gridlock and you'll be ready for a few drinks, watching the Late Game and staying down for the bingo ! We will be operating a ONE WAY System for cars all day - enter via Stockport Rd and Exit via Wood Lane - no turning of cars on drive or near the pitches. Please conform !!

Fixtures and Results - a mixed bag of results from our North, NWHL and CWHL opening league match weekend won some and got lots of people playing hockey. Thanks to all involved - the first few week of the season are never easy and it will get easier ! Pitchero and Fixtures Live are now linked so results should now be automatically updated on pitchero for each league game and you can see all the games and results and links to opposition clubs, directions etc on the THC Whats On Fixtures Live Page
Floodlights - come and support the opening of the new blue pitch lights at around 5pm on the blue pitch on Saturday to mark this wonderful investment in the clubs facilities. Nick Burnett, TSC President will be welcoming Chris Reece, England Hockey Vice President and Jane Baugh, Executive member for Culture and Leisure, Trafford Council to unveil a plague and say a few words. The lights are being funded by the club, sections and members so find out more about how you can support this weekend

Membership Subs due by 1st October - No Pay No Play kicks in next weekend (5th October) so make sure you pay your subs by Tuesday on line or over the bar
New Players (men!)- we urgently need to recruit a few more male players to help bolster our numbers and help get 7 teams out each week as availability is patchy. If you know of anyone who wants to get back into hockey, move clubs or give hockey a go let your captain know or firstname.lastname@example.org with details. A new side is always tough to get up and running so lets really try support the men and get some new (or returning) players back on the pitch!
